4/1/2025 UPDATE: Turtle's Tiki Bar & Grille and Shima Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar are open to our rental guests. Sundial Resort is offering Sundial Daycation passes from Wednesday to Sunday (main pool, beach chair, and umbrella service) on a limited basis through March 31, 2026 (reservation required: 866-565-5093 or sundialresort.com for details and cost). Also, discounted Sundial Resort day passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis ($25/day adults, $15/day kids) with valid proof of rental booking. No advanced reservations accepted. Availability of these day passes is not guaranteed as advance sale day passes can sell out.

Overall would recommend

The location is the most attractive feature of this listing. Beachfront and very large patio - even bigger than it appears in the pictures! We had everything we needed as far as towels, dish soap, detergent, etc. the only thing that would’ve been nice to have would be salt and pepper. Checking in was very easy. We had a “drive thru” setup where we gave a Royal Shell rep our info and she had a welcome packet ready for us. The entire process took 2 minutes. The staff at the resort was very friendly. We were able to walk to the main lobby in less than 5 minutes. Parking was shaded. The ice maker in the freezer didn’t work for the first few days we were there but then started working out of the blue. The garbage chute was a nice feature so we didn’t have to lug bags to a dumpster. The only real complaint I have is the bedding. The sheets were not comfortable in the master bedroom, and the comforter & at least one throw pillow had what appeared to be blood on them. It was extremely unsettling. I understand these items are probably not washed as they seemed decorative, but it was enough to make me queasy. I removed all “decorative” bedding (anything that wasn’t a stark white item) and put it aside for the remainder of the trip. We would likely stay here again, but have not committed to do so. I could confidently recommend this unit, though, as long as the bedding issue was addressed.
