Great Location on Sanibel

Awesome views, great location, and very inviting. One of the best places to stay on Sanibel Island. Everything is provided for the beach, the kitchen, and the restrooms. Along with everything you would normally think of (bedding, etc). Love our stay and had a great time!

Great stay except Internet Troubles

The internet was not working when we arrived. The management team was very courteous and responsive. Though the maintenance man did everything in his power to restore the service, it took 3 days before we had reliable internet. Otherwise the stay was very comfortable and the condo is very convenient to the entire island.. Great beach and Superb view of the Gulf. Really enjoyed Pine Cove. Bill and Pam

We love Pine Cove!

Our family has been visiting Sanibel Island for over 20 years. We found Pine Cove a few years ago and are so happy we did. The complex is directly on the beach. The unobstructed view from the unit is simply wonderful. Many a beautiful sunset or sunrise viewed from the beach and lanai. The complex is small and we always met friendly people by the pool or when we were using the very nice community grills. This unit's kitchen is well equipped to accommodate us when we decided to cook rather than go to one of the island's great restaurants. The complex is so close to shops and Bailey's grocery store. An easy bike ride or walk is all you need. There are lots of beach chairs in the storage unit located in the parking area, and it appeared there were also lots of beach toys available if someone is traveling with younger children. Good wifi--seems like we all have to have that now--and nice TVs in bedrooms and living area. A very comfortable place for our month long visit to Sanibel. Hated to leave, but we will be back next year!! I do miss falling asleep to the sound of the waves in the Gulf. One additional note--the management company quickly handled a leaky shower head situation for us. We appreciate how quickly they got a plumber out to the unit.

OK, but not perfect.

The condo itself is nice, but we did have some issues while there. First, they were doing work to the condo unit beneath us and the workers would sometimes come and start work very early in the morning (before 8AM at times) and were frequently very loud during the day as well - so if you wanted to come back for a rest out of the sun, forget about it. Unfortunately, this was not relayed to us before the trip, we were just told at checkin. Secondly, the unit was definitely not cleaned well when we got there. There were still food crumbs all over the kitchen floor, hair in the fridge, and dirty tissues next to the nightstand in one of the bedrooms. Thirdly, when we got there we turned the AC down a bit as it was too hot in the apartment. The thermostat had some sort of glitch though that dropped the AC down to 60 (even though we had set it to 69). While we were out getting groceries, a maintenance guy showed up in our unit, turned it back up, and left us a note telling us we could not turn it below 72 degrees or it would freeze the AC unit and we would be without air for at least 5-6 hours. As you can imagine, it was hot pretty much the whole time we were there then, because the AC did not do a great job of keeping it even at 72! Some of these things have nothing to do with the owners I am sure, but it would have been nice if they had been more responsive (or responsible) to let us know about some of these before our one and only vacation of the year got booked. I exchanged one email with the owner before booking, but my second email with more questions was not answered at all. A little customer service can go a long way, and I regret not having changed my mind after the lack of response. The view from the unit is great though. It is stocked with lots of kitchen utensils. It is super close to the beach, obviously, and had a storage unit downstairs to keep our beach stuff in. It says it will sleep 6, but that could be very crowded - 4 is definitely great though. Not a bad deal if you go during off peak season... but our friends stayed up the road for cheaper and had a much nicer place.

This is a lovely condo and we enjoyed our stay a great deal. We were surprised at 3 flights of stairs instead of the two we were expecting. As older folks, it was a stretch for us. Luckily our son and daughter-in-law hauled our luggage and all the groceries up the steps during our stay. It was a well equipped condo but we were surprised to not find even salt and pepper as seasonings as we all like to cook. The balcony view is wonderful and we enjoyed many hours there. It was a very special week for us.

We loved the skylights, the sunrises AND sunsets from the lanai, and the nicely decorated, spotless, very well-appointed living space. The beach front is gorgeous and relatively sparsely populated. Dolphins swim by regularly, there are eagles and ospreys, unparalleled beach combing, and amazing birds and alligators at the nearby Ding Darling Wildlife refuge. It's an easy walk or bike ride from the condo to the Bailey Tract for mores nature hiking and to a great grocery store in the town center.

Wonderful place to stay and great location!

My husband, two daughters and I had a wonderful time staying at this condo. It was spacious, nicely decorated, updated and had the amenities we were looking for. Prior to our arrival, the owners also completed additional work, including painting, window treatments and interior design. A highlight of this condo is the location. It is right on the beach with an ocean view, which we enjoyed every day from the patio, master bedroom and family room. It is also situated in an ideal place on the island being in the middle section with access to sights on both sides of the island and Captiva Island. It is also at the southernmost tip of the island for a beautiful view of both sunrise and sunset, which is not possible at most other island locations. It is conveniently near shops, restaurants, bike trails and the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. Lastly, the owners were so pleasant and helped to make our stay that much more enjoyable. We had a fabulous time there and hope to return soon!

Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!

My wife and I have been coming to this complex for years---sometimes with kids, sometimes without---and we can't say enough great things about this property. The location, the amenities, the quiet...and this unit is our favorite without a doubt. The view is a "wow"...and the place is always neat as a pin, stocked with everything we need to make our stay so relaxing, and the owners couldn't be more hospitable. We love it...and can't wait to come back. I just wish we could keep it our little secret. (PS: We saw more dolphins this trip than all our other trips combined. Thanks, Vince, for arranging that special treat!)

HEAVEN ON EARTH

Time of our lives!!! The condo is spacious and clean. Views galore, birds, ocean, puffy clouds and we will miss the sounds of the waves at night. Pool and hot tub were clean and fun. Front grounds are tropical vegetation, you must walk around them also. Baily's grocery store right up the street. I highly recommend this property to any one. Hawaii in Florida.....sweet Sanibel Island.

Fabulous Views

The minute my granddaughters walked in and saw the Gulf they dubbed this unit "the best condo ever". The views are fabulous. We were close to the beach, pool, biking trails, shopping, and dining. A typical day started with a walk on the beach, looking for seashells and dolphins. Yes, my granddaughters were swimming near the shore when two dolphins swam past on our first day. Then a trip to one of the Darling National Wildlife centers, followed by a bike ride and then swimming in the pool. They also loved having being able to decide on whether to eat "at home" or go to a nearby restaurant. The condo is very well laid out, well appointed, and very well maintained. The owners even had a locker with beach chairs and umbrella! We loved it and look forward to a returning.
