We enjoyed our stay at this beautifully equipped property, which is in a great location and has wonderful landscaping and outside space to enjoy. Absolutely loved staying here! Perfect for the 2 of us. Location is great and the cottage is very clean with great amenities. Not to mention the lovely interior and beautiful landscaping. Weekend Getaway

My fiancé and our two friends wanted to find a place that was close to downtown Ventura and would be comfortable for us all. This place was perfect! We were able to walk to Main Street no problem, there’s plenty of street parking, and we found ourselves enjoying the fire pit every night! Would definitely book this property again, and even plan to book the neighboring houses for other friends as well! The location is perfect and the size was just right for the four of us.

A lovely little place with a cozy feel

I stayed with my adult daughter and it was perfect for us! It would probably be tight for 4 adults due to bathroom and dining size, but super for 2 adults or adults with young children. Technically, it's walking distance to downtown, but a bit far if you are in a hurry or, like me, have a "bum knee". Great décor, comfortable beds, quiet space, lovely outside, and easy parking are a plus of The Birdhouse! Also, I cannot say enough great things about the host - Sarah is wonderful! Communications were smooth and she was super accommodating to us!I would definitely stay again!

Awesome Bungalow Experience!

Absolutely LOVED our stay. Incredibly comfortable, peaceful, functional, fantastic amenities and close to everything but you feel like your far away. The yards were so beautiful and lots of space to enjoy conversation around the firepit and BBQ or quiet time on the porch swing. Communication and assistance from owners were instant! I will definitely stay again and highly recommend to my friends in the area. There are 3 bungalows next to each other that would be fanstastic to have a family reunion if you can schedule them ahead at the same time. Don't miss this little GEM!

One of the best vacation rentals we have experienced

As all the other reviewers have said, this property is extremely well-run and exactly as described. It's in a quiet neighborhood (the large apartment referenced in another review? No idea - there are small apartments all around, mixed in with the homes, but they are cute and clean and quiet) just a few blocks from everything in Ventura, including the beach. It's very well-stocked and extremely clean, completely privately fenced with cute outdoor seating and lighting, and really nice landscaping. Parked right outside our gate, and the host responded to texts immediately. The heat worked very well, beds were super comfy, and Ventura itself is a great place to spend a weekend. Would love to come back, and highly recommend!

Dream beach bungalow

This place was beyond perfect. My husband and our two best friends stayed there for my birthday. It had everything we needed. The house was immaculate. So cute. We loved the fire pit in the back. It was walking distance from downtown that is filled with all kinds of bars shops and restaurants. It’s a 5 minute drive to the pier. They left us a cute gift basket. Over all we couldn’t have found a more perfect place. There is another bungalow on the property and we have already started talking to my in-laws into taking us back there later this summer and renting both properties! Highly recommend.
