Our family of 4, with two boys, ages 6 & 10, stayed for a long weekend and absolutely adored this cabin. It was just as described, clean, and full of fun nooks to explore. It is set back from the road a bit and is surrounded by amazing views of the woods. We had lots of space and anything we could have needed. The property did have some poison ivy near the cabin, so just be mindful if staying with adventurous little ones! The location was very close to the Rock House, and within 20 mins from Old Man’s Cave, the general store, and some local restaurants. Overall, we highly recommend!!
Really incredible house with everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub, the trails, and the proximity to the places we wanted to visit. House is beautiful, beds were comfy. There were tons of games but we were too busy enjoying the hot tub, laughing, cooking, and watching the birds. Fantastic for our girls' trip.
We had such a lovely and relaxing stay here! The property was exactly what we were looking for—quiet, clean, and incredibly comfortable. It felt like a true escape from the hustle of everyday life. Being so close to nature was a huge plus; we enjoyed peaceful mornings with birdsong and beautiful hikes nearby. The space was well-stocked and cozy, with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors!
This is probably the cleanest VRBO I've ever stayed in! The place was great and cozy. Lots to do. The hot tub was perfect. Close to all the best hiking spots. A little tricky finding in the dark. Would definitely stay there again!
Just what we needed such a beautiful place with everything you need to cook and entertain with loved ones beautiful atmosphere and wonderful memories thank you
The house and property are beautiful! We stayed over Easter weekend and the trees were just beginning to leaf out. The house is very private and had great amenities. Our teens loved the games on site. It was easy to get to all of the Parks and the grocery store. It was fun to go watch Jack Pine at his glassblowing studio about a mile down the road and it was a quick drive to Old Man’s Cave Trail. We also easily went into Chillicothe (park side Creamery is great!)We’re already planning a return trip! Recommendations:arrive during daytime if possible, driveway has a short steep hill when you turn in and it’s a little difficult to see in the dark. Also no ATT cell service around the cabin for a few miles BUT the internet at the house was very good! Just make sure to load direction before you leave the house! :)
The cabin was amazing. There was a little bit of everything and so much to keep us busy. The hot tub was very relaxing. Being about to hike on the property was super convenient, beautiful land. Many different pull out couches options and the beds are VERY comfortable. Jennifer was amazing and very communicated. She made our stay one of a kind. We go to hocking hills every year and this experience was unforgettable!

Beautiful house, well maintained, and perfect location.
This was our second stay here and it is a wonderful house. Very spacious, great lower level with games and the hot tub. Very clean. Down off the road, so very private as well.

Such a peaceful environment
Loved all the amenities in the cabin. Kids had a blast exploring the area.
This is our first trip to the Hocking Hills area and we really lucked out picking this cabin. The pictures don't even really show how nice this place is put together. We liked that there was a locking gate since we were pretty remote with low cell service. With only 4 of us, we could really spread out. We can tell this place is well loved by the owners and we appreciate them sharing it with us!

The cabin is fabulous!! The layout is perfect. Upstairs has bathroom, sleeping area and play/work area. Main floor is kitchen, 2 bedrooms and bedroom g bathroom (walk-in shower) and a living area. Basement is nicely finished with full bathroom (garden tub), bumper pool, basketball, air hockey, sitting area and walkout.
Deer Cabin is such a well- built and well-loved cabin. Has everything you could possibly want. Very family friendly!! Close to the caves/hikes. Highly recommend!!!
This is a well thought out property both interior and exterior. It's the best property in regard to amenities/accessories we've rented. It has everything we needed, from bedding, bath, kitchen (we cooked every night), to games and entertainment. And it's very clean!!!
On top of that it's situated on a beautiful, secluded lot.
That said, we believe it would be much more comfortable for 6 people instead of 8.
Cabin was fabulous! Perfect location with all of Hawking hills very close by. Secluded for our guests and amazing scenes. Everything was great. We will be back!
We had a great time over the Easter weekend. Just what we needed to unwind and sit by the camp fire. Place was very clean and just enough to do to keep 2 teenage boys busy. Really enjoyed the hot tub and bumper pool table.
Pictures do no justice! It was soooo nice. Quiet...felt like we were deep in the woods. I was with my boyfriend and our 4 children and had my mother with us. My mom had the loft all to herself. Had a full bathroom, her own private balcony. Plenty of space. Everyone was able to be pretty separate (if they wanted to be) Will definitely use this cabin again!
This is such a great cabin! We had an amazing time exploring Hocking Hills then coming back to the comfortable and fun cabin! 4 teenage boys were thoroughly entertained and we had a great time on the covered back porch and at the fire pit. Highly recommend this property!
The property was close enough to the attractions we wanted to see, yet was secluded far enough in the woods to relax. It was a great time! The cabin had lots of activities to keep us busy as well. From games, to a hot tub, to chilling on the porch and watching wild life.
Deer cabin is the perfect Hocking Hills home away from home.
Beautiful cabin on a stunning wooded hillside. Accommodations were beautifully furnished with lovely wrap around decks. Game room and hot tub kept the grandkids happy and busy after a long day of hiking. Located near Rock House, the cabin was a beautiful and easy drive to the other State Park sites. Nearby Laurelville provided our grocery needs. The firepit made for a relaxing evening hotdog and marshmallow roast. Email communication with the hosts was easy and quick. Highly recommend.
