This place does not feel like a rental-it feels like a well maintained cozy mountain getaway. Very comfortable beds and bedding; great kitchen, excellent everything. One of the best VRBO’s I have stayed in. Would love to come back.

The house is lovely. Very unique. Love the front porch and rocking chairs. The loft upstairs is super cozy and our children loved it. The hosts were very comminucative and great to work with. Location of the house is great, super close to Glaze Meadow rec center and pool, and to South Meadow pool. A relatively easy bike ride to the Meadow. Overall great experience and would book this home again.

Thank you, Katherine! We're thrilled you enjoyed the unique charm of our home and that your family had a great experience. We look forward to welcoming you back for another wonderful stay!
We absolutely loved our stay in Black Butte. The carpet has some stains. I think it's a little odd there is not a TV in the living room. One of the kayaks in the listing has a hole, so if that is on your agenda there is only one kayak thats operational. Otherwise it was a lovely house, beds were comfortable and we had an enjoyable time.

Thank you, Twila, for your kind words! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the house comfortable. I appreciate your feedback and will work on those details. We look forward to welcoming you back for another lovely visit!
Beautiful House. Great location. Would stay there again. The piano was a bonus. The sauna was locked but we didn't inquire about it as it was no big deal to us, but if that is important it should be asked about ahead of time.
House was very clean and well maintained and stocked. It was wonderful having central air. For our family of 8 it was difficult having so much furniture. No space to spread out. There wasn't space to play on the floor. The dining area table only had chairs for 5, so we couldn't sit down together. It would be really helpful to have a grab bar in the upstairs shower.Thank you for the yummy chocolate and kind gift card.

Thank you, Peter, for your thoughtful feedback! I appreciate your suggestions and will work on improving the space for future visits. We hope to welcome you and your family back soon!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Black Butte Mountain Retreat. The home was a good size for 4 adults and 2 kids and had plenty of fun toys for the grandkids and bikes, books, and games for the adults. We were amazed by the pool complexes, restaurants, horse stables and the gorgeous meadows and golf courses. We'll be back!
We have traveled to many places, but I have to say that it’s hard to top Black Butte Ranch. It’s gorgeous, the house we stayed in was perfect, and the weather was second to none! I give it a 10/10 stay! Plenty to do in the ranch and nearby Sisters/Bend area. Though it’s over 2500 miles from our home in SC, we will be making the trip back to BBR as soon as we can. We loved it!
Owners were responsive to our questions. The kitchen was very well equipped. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Rooms were crammed with furniture, giving the place a cramped feel. Three small loads tripped a circuit breaker at night, causing medical equipment to stop working. We reset the circuit breaker and moved things around, but this should not have happened. Would pick another property next time.
We enjoyed the location and design features of this home. The only real limitation was the height of the beds: great for adults and older kids, too high for little ones who might fall off while sleeping.
My youngest son was about to head off for school and wanted to do something special with friends and family. He wanted to go camping in the coast so I did what any parent would do: I surprised him and his friends with this wonderful cabin in Black Butte Ranch! As we headed east, I had to field a lot of questions during the four hour drive. I held my tongue until we got to the entrance of the ranch. “Surprise!”
No one said a word. Uh oh. Turns out the silence was from shock. Two friends thought Black Butte Ranch was a myth; legendary if you will.
I followed the instructions given to me by the host. It sounded complex but in actuality, it was super simple and smooth. We go through the gate and make the 5m drive to the home. As we got closer, the car filled with the familiar scent of warm pine needles baking in the sun. As we turned off the street and onto the paved driveway, I’m pretty sure all four of us in the car said “Nooo waayyy!” I have never seen so many doors fly open as the group swarmed the house, pointing to the features and soaking up seats on the front porch.
As I opened the door, three eager young-adults nearly trampled me as they made their way inside. The moment I saw the inside, I shouted “shoes off!” It may not be the house policy but it’s mine. It’s that kind of place. As I entered, I nearly passed the amazing greeting left by the hosts. Immediately, my first impression was stamped: The home and the hosts are top notch.
