Beautiful property. The house and grounds, including a beautiful pool were amazing. Loved sitting on the porch and watching the birds. So much to do in the Berkshires, would definitely like to come back.
It’s hard to find a home in the Berkshires with multiple bedrooms (including at least 1 king) and bathrooms, air conditioning and a swimming pool, and Amore Estate checked all of those boxes. While we enjoyed our stay - especially the pool and basketball court - this is definitely an older home with slanting floors and hard-to-adjust AC. The large kitchen included a good stove and lots of plates and coffee cups, but it was light on glasses and non-soup spoons. Also, it was hard to find things as tools, pots and pans, bowls, etc. were located in various places. While this is a lovely, large, well maintained property, it’s a challenge for those with mobility issues. That would be especially true for those who occupy the 3rd floor bedrooms.
We had a wonderful time during our stay at this lovely property. The owner was very responsive in answering questions before & during our time there. The location near the town of Lenox is ideal, and while the house is located right on a double-line street, there was little traffic or street noise to bother us. There is a foot / bike path and other neighboring streets nearby where you can take walks and enjoy the surroundings. The master BR / bath were very comfortable and the additional bedrooms afforded ample privacy for other family members. The kitchen is bright and modern, equipped with nice appliances and basic essentials (although we brought our own favorite pans, utensils, and disposable plates which made our at-home meals a breeze.) The a/c worked well when needed. The home is surrounded by a colorful flower garden and the swimming pool area is nice (but the pool is unfortunately not heated and was, frankly, too cold for us to swim in.)For those with mobility issues, note that the third floor bedrooms are accessed by a fairly steep set of stairs. The home has a lot of charm but also shows some signs of age (scuffed and some creaky floors) and the formal living room does not get a lot of light. The upstairs family room, though, has a comfortable sofa, desk, window seat, tv, and electronic keyboard that is great for hanging out, playing games, and gazing out at the trees and sky. In sum, we really enjoyed our stay, and would love to return again soon!
Fantastic, large house with tons of places to explore in the house and on the property. We came for a long weekend with 3 families and both the adults and kids felt quickly at home and really enjoyed our stay. We cannot wait to some back!
The property is great for a group of people lots of bedrooms. Lots of sitting rooms. The kitchen is great for a culinary event - we had a private chef one night. The upstairs den was very cozy-It was a cold weekend with lots of snow- we didn’t want to leave the house !And close to Lenox -and Miraval spaWe would definitely come back next year.
We had a lovely time on our family holiday trip. Andrea was great- easy to get ahold of, clear communication. The house and neighborhood are so charming. Everything was well stocked, comfortable, and even decorated for the holdiays! We’d love to stay again!
Our mix of family and friends had a wonderful time at your home over the Labor Day weekend. The space was clean, spacious and beautiful. The property had plenty for everyone to do. We will definitely be booking again.
It's al lovely home. Plenty of room inside and out. Kitchen is well equipped. The wraparound porch is perfect. The pool is very nice. Good location. Tennis courts and a very nice golf course a short drive away.
Our stay was great! The house was large and had enough space to get together or to find some quiet space when wanted. AC worked well for the very hot week we had. Kids and adults really enjoyed the pool and court area. Location was great for checking out Lenox and other surrounding areas.
Great space for a group of friends! House has a lot of character. Beautiful property and great location! Easy access to downtown Lenox and surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay!
There was plenty of room for four families. Beds were comfy. If you plan on cooking you might want to bring your own knives and pans. Teflon pans were scraped . Only metal utensil available to flip pancakes.
We were a large group of 10 adults and 2 children, and this property was perfect for our weekend getaway. Spacious enough for everyone to have their own rooms/beds and space for activities - cooking, eating, lounging, playing outside. Great location and easy to find!
The home is a wonderful farmhouse with plenty of room for everyone. The property is picturesque and the location is perfect. It was an amazing getaway and a great meeting spot for our adult kids who drove up from NYC and for us to drive from the Boston-area. I highly recommend it!
The stay was amazing. Andrea and her partner were extremely responsive and helped us with anything we needed. We ran into some minor bumps at the start of the trip which Andrea worked with us to rectify and ensured that it didn’t affect the rest of the stay. The house was very clean and was suited to our needs. Andrea also provided us with a nice list of things to do in the surrounding area and places to check out. Great host and a great property!
The house was huge and in pristine condition. It felt like no one had ever been there before, but at the same time, was fully stocked with everything we needed. We had 12 young women and sleeping was not an issue at all.
There was one incident with an unclean bed, but the owner came over immediately and changed the sheets.
Andrea's house in Lenox is quite breathtaking. It is large and super charming. The property is immense, has a beautiful and clean pool, shuffleboard, basketball court, and so much lawn! She even has a chicken house on the property where we were able to get fresh eggs. The highlights of this place includes: the kitchen - HUGE kitchen that was super comfortable to cook in; and wrap around porch. Such a nice place and Andrea was so nice to the family. We hope to return one day!
We are a blended family of 12 that wanted a week together this summer. There are 10 busy adults and two kids (10 and 7). We had a wonderful relaxing week. The house is beautiful and plenty big enough for all of us. The pool and basketball court was wonderful and we brought pickleball with us and it was all so fun and relaxing. We spent quality time together laughing, playing card games, doing puzzles and reading. The wrap around porch for morning coffee was a dream. The house will not disappoint. Andrea was wonderful and answered all questions. I highly recommend this home for any large family or group looking for a get away.
We stayed at the estate with one other family (4 adults, 2 young children). Upon arrival the home was freezing. The temperature was set to 58 degrees. The house was fine - a lot older in person than it is in pictures, but what really was disappointing was our communication with the owner upon departure. She is going to send you a very long email of instructions and then attach additional instructions to follow upon check out. I will be honest and say I missed the additional attachment (I’m a working mom, sue me, I read the entire email though!). In the email, there were check out instructions so while I didn’t read the additional attachment, it was quite confusing to have two sets of instructions in two different places. As a result, I missed that you had to basically clean the house at the end and leave it spotless because upon departure I was charged for leaving the house a “mess” and when she sent me pics they were pictures of a water bottle by the bed and a bag of trash NEXT TO the garbage can inside the kitchen (which is what we missed that we had to take it out). Any cleaning lady would’ve picked up up a bottle with no issues. I was also charged for extra heat. She claimed the house was 70 - it was set to 58 degrees inside and FREEZING outside. We have two toddlers so yes, we turned the heat up and as a result were charged. I’m sure she’s going to reply and say I disrespected her home but what she did was thievery and I would like to warn the next family.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
So much potential
VBRO big selling point is “whole house”. The “whole house” doesn’t feel like a “whole house” when the owner is staying 100 feet away and walking on the property daily.
There was a list of problems. First - the tone of the welcome email wasn’t exactly welcoming, but rather a list of things not to do and things she would not be providing. House was listed to sleep 12 - but that is a total stretch for 12 adults. Many of the beds were kid size and totally uncomfortable for adults. There were not 12 drinking glasses, wine glasses or full sets of dishes. The lights and outlets in 3 of the bedrooms did not work at all. The TVs were not connected to Wi-Fi and therefore were also non functional. The back sitting room had no lighting. The front outside lights did not work. The host was notified of these problems and said she would look into it - but never did. It was a beautiful location and a nice house for a large group, but it just did not deliver on what the listing promised.
