Beautiful Lake-side home in Wells, VT Within 45 minutes to 3 ski slopes

Relaxing, quissential Vermont lakeside home with view of Little Lake, part of Lake St. Catherine (20 minutes North of Manchester) and 5 minutes from Granville for everyday shopping. 10 minute walk to the town of Wells and the Wells Country Store. 7 minutes from Lake St. Catherine State Park and 15 minutes to the Dorsett Marble Quarry for Swimming. Close to the D&H Rail Trail for walking year round.
Home comfortably accomodates 8 people and features a large, furnished screened in porch, a wood burning stove, 2 televisions with wireless service, dishwasher, a Ping pong table and magnetic dartboard in basement.
There is a lovely view of Little Lake from the porch and the bedroom windows facing the back of the house.
Enjoy kyacking, swimming in Lake St Catherine State Park, biking in the summer and folliage, hiking, and apple picking in the Fall. In the Winter, our home is 45 minutes to Bromley, Stratton, and Killington and cross country/Nordic skiing and snowshoeing at WildWings.

Family weekend at the lake

We have been visiting the area for years and were so happy to find this beautiful, clean and well appointed rental near where the rest of our family stays! The house has a wonderful screened in porch where we enjoyed our coffee and the views. We did some cooking in the kitchen and found everything we needed! Loved our stay in VT and would stay again. Thank you.

Nice stay

We had a nice stay here. The owners were very kind and helpful. The house was very well equipped and everything worked perfectly, including the window air conditioners. We enjoyed walking into town and loved the screened in porch. The house has a nice view of the lake with pretty sunsets. The lake was disappointing as it is unswimmable due to numerous plants and its shallowness. This was not clear in the description or the comments about the house and there are no places to access the lake, even to put your feet in, except a rickety dock.

Why they chose this property

We enjoy our Vermont property year around to relax and unwind. Before purchasing our home, we did vacation rentals in the Vermont and the Washington County NY area and have formed a lot of memories as a result. We particularly love the view of the lake and the stars at night and the landscape of Vermont is fabulous.

What makes this property unique

Our home has a view of the lake and a private dock for kyacking or sitting. There is a lovely landscaped garden in front that blooms in early summer. There are two screened in porches and the view of the stars is incredible. Wells is close to Granville for shopping or you can walk to the town of Wells to the Country store for breakfast. Manchester, VT is a 20 minute drive and Glens Falls or Saratoga Springs NY is about 40 minutes. If you like to ski, Stratton, Bromley and Killington are about 45 minutes from our location.
