Beautiful lakeside family/pet-friendly camp is a perfect spot for your next Maine getaway. It is located on a well-maintained road and offers onsite parking. Boasting lake views, the camp has everything you need to feel at home during your stay including well water, a washer and dryer, a bathroom tub/shower unit and an equipped kitchen. Camp comfortably sleeps 8 -9. 2 bedrooms downstairs both with queen sized beds. 1 bedroom upstairs with 2 twin beds and a twin size cot in a cozy, upstairs nook. There is a full size pull out on the front porch. The porch is enclosed by windows with a view of the lake.
Enjoy Cathance Lake’s serene, clean, deep-water lake. Ideal for swimming, fishing, boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and listening to the Loons. Each year members of the Cathance Lake Association participate in the Audubon Society’s Loon Count. Members of the Association work together to collect data with the goal of ensuring a healthy loon population.
Available for use: large dock, lakeside outdoor bar with gas grill and Blackstone griddle, paddleboard, water trampoline, 2 kayaks, canoe and an assortment of PFD’s.
Nearby:
The camp connects to Rt. 191 which is 15 minutes in one direction to Machias and 15 minutes in the other direction to the city of Calais and the Calais/St. Stephen, New Brunswick International Border. Bring your passport and take an afternoon trip to Canada.
Eastport is just a short drive away. With deep sea fishing, mackerel fishing off the pier, whale watching, great restaurants and very cool brewery.
