About this property
Rustic log cottage, River-view, Pet-friendly, Downeast Maine
Nestled in the heart of Downeast Maine, our cottages are a peaceful retreat. Our 7 cottages, along with our house, are located on the same large property in Edmunds Twp, Maine, United States. The cottages are in a wooded area with privacy maintained for each.
Built in 1945, with additions in the early 50's, this single-level log cottage features a vaulted ceiling with a field-stone fireplace and a woodstove for heat. Complimentary firewood is provided in an outdoor woodshed. The cottage offers a cozy kitchen and dining area, a living room, and bathroom with shower. There are two bedrooms, one with 2 twin beds and one with a twin and a double bed (sleeps up to 5).
Linens and towels are provided. The screened porch overlooks the river near the rips. It is a beautiful sound to listen to and even fall asleep to. This cottage is very private and located on its own road, nestled in the woods on the bank of the river. There is an outdoor charcoal grill and picnic table. Please note, this cottage does NOT have WiFi.
Edmunds Township is in a very rural area within 30 minutes of a variety of coastal towns and activities. The property boasts a man-made pond and the Dennys River. We are also only a few hundred yards from the Sunrise Trail.
The closest stores are in Pembroke, a 6-mile drive. There is a Dollar General and a Freshies. These have some groceries and takeout options. The closest sit-down restaurant is 12 miles from us in Perry, but most are located in the towns of Machis, Calais, Eastport and Lubec which are a 20 to 30-mile drive. Many restaurants and stores close early here, so it's best to call ahead for hours if you are planning a later arrival.
All of the cottages have a kitchen so cooking for yourself is a money-saving option. Coming from the north, the last stop for groceries is Calais and coming from the south, the last stop for groceries is Machias. Both are about 25 miles from us. There are also grocery stores in Eastport and Lubec which are just over 20 miles.

About the host
Hosted by Teresa Robinson

Robinson's Cottages is a seasonal vacation cottage business run by the same family for over 100 years. The 7 cottages and single tent site are all located on one property overlooking the Dennys River and a private pond in Edmunds Township, ME. Each cottage retains it's privacy with plenty of space and woods in between. Six of the cottages are log and are located on either the river or the pond. One cottage is a small clapboard house and is located on a sunny hillside overlooking the entrance. The tent site is located in a shady spot at a bend in the river.
