We loved the property and walking down to the water or sitting on the deck for coffee in the morning. It is quite a few stairs, but beautiful and worth it. The location was perfect for entrance into the park. Joan thought of everything and if we come to GNP again we will be back.

A week of hiking and exploring made easy with the close location and cabin set up. Rising early to snag a parking spot in the park or getting a later start with coffee by the river is all doable and enjoyable from the cabin.

Cabin is cute and nicely appointed. Host was generous with amenities. Cabin is about 300 yards from a railroad crossing. Blasting train noise, as each train approaches the crossing. 10 trains counted that night. Kept us up all night, we checked out the next day. Lost a sizable fee. Owner said oblique reference to romantic train whistle put me on notice of LOUD, up close, all night train noise.

Mountain Getaway

My husband and I had a fantastic time at Glacier National Park and this cabin was situated in a great location close to the park, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, etc. to enjoy amenities. We felt tucked away but close to restaurants, grocery stores, gas, etc. The owner was very helpful and so thorough with directions. We would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy mountain retreat!

Amazing

We went a few days earlier than our reservation. It the cabin was booked so we ended up staying in her other unit but did tour this cabin as it is on the same property. It is so adorable. Joan was an amazing Hostess and was very attentive to our needs and requests. She provided extra special touches like granola, coffee and creamer. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub enjoying the view of the river. Breathtaking. We enjoyed everything about our stay there.

Nice, clean cabin. Perfect for two. The bed is in the loft, which requires climbing the wooden ladder. Not impossible but something to consider if there are mobility issues. We loved the proximity to Glacier and Whitefish, well-equipped kitchen, kind hosts who were very responsive and provided great local recommendations, and the complimentary coffee and creamer! Unfortunately, the cabin is not actually on the river and it is a very, very steep walk to get there if you walk behind the main house. The hot tub is also at the main house; and it felt a bit awkward to utilize since it did require sitting in the main home's backyard and getting prior approval. This did not negatively impact our stay though, and we would stay again if we had the opportunity.

We love living in Montana right on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. We love the out of doors. There is so much to do, white water rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, fishing, zip lining, and ropes course, so many beautiful hikes, seeing the variety of animals, eagles, bears, mountain goats, big- horn sheep, marmot's and so much more, just keep your eyes open and be bear aware! Many great restaurants, skiing, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing in the winter months, Its never a dull moment in Montana!

Why they chose this property

The beauty of this property is that we are right on a wild and scenic river, in Montana, a short distance to Glacier National Part and all of its glory. I love sitting on our deck and ponder the day and watch the river go by. Many only dream of living on a wild and scenic river in Montana.
I fled the hustle and bustle of the city to live in the serenity of the mountains and to enjoy the out-of-doors at its finest.

What makes this property unique

One little cabin is on private property, with your own private viewing deck of the river.
