Chalet in The Woods is the perfect combination of peace/quiet and amenities. Whether you need to disconnect and rejuvenate or are looking for a more active getaway (or a combination of the two!), this space is for you.

Welcome to your home away from home. This chalet in The Woods features the best of both worlds - peace and quiet within a community. You will love the privacy this home offers as well as the amenities.

Amenities:
When you stay in this home, you will have access to everything that The Woods has to offer. Your stay will include access to the following:
*Two outdoor pools (one within a 15 minute walk, the other a four minute drive)
Indoor pool (four minute drive)
Indoor hot tub (four minute drive)
Indoor gym
Indoor tennis courts
Outdoor tennis courts
Outdoor fishing pond
Indoor/outdoor basketball courts
23,000 acres of hiking
**Spa that offers reasonably-priced massages, pedicures, manicures, facials, hair cut/style, etc.
**Golf course with reasonably priced fees

*Note that between Labor Day and Memorial Day, only the indoor hot tub and pool are open.
**Access to spa and golf course are provided for an additional fee

Guest passes are required to access the amenities belong to The Woods. Guest passes are $5 each - one guest pass provides access to all amenities (besides spa and golf) for one person for one day. The host must call on your behalf to purchase guest passes. Just let me know how many you'd like and I will make the call for you. Guest passes will be waiting for you at the front desk of The Woods Recreation Facility, located at 1630 The Woods Rd (about 4 minutes away).

Chalet:
This chalet overlooks the golf course through the trees. This home features a queen bedroom downstairs and a loft king bedroom upstairs. The king bedroom is open, overlooking the gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows that span both stories. There is a bonus sunroom that receives sunlight all day long with a trundle bed featuring two twin mattresses. Off the bonus room is a screened-in porch with a ceiling fan, perfect for watching the deer and other wildlife with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

We highly recommend that you download the Merlin Bird Id app during your stay as these woods are rich with wildlife! While we also fully recommend disconnecting from all technology, we also offer high speed wifi as well as a smart tv for a cozy movie night in or those days that you need to work from home.

A nice getaway

My friend and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Chalet in the Woods. It was a perfect spot to escape to and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of nature. The chalet had everything we needed and Brianna the host was very helpful and accommodating. We would love to come back!

Perfect for Our Needs

Visiting family in Berkeley Springs, and this was a perfect home away from home for us 5 girls for our long weekend stay. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for my elderly mom, and my girls enjoyed the loft. Had everything we needed and the hostess was kind and generous. Couldn't have asked for more, and we are looking forward to a return visit!

Not enough glasses, no baking sheet or anything you could put in the oven, hair in the bathtub, knob blew off bathtub spewing water everywhere, dishwasher falls out of cabinet when trying to load, sheer and only half window covering in one sleeping area. Some lights didn’t work. Porches and outdoor furniture not clean. definitely can’t recommend.

Beautiful Property in a Great Community, but Listing Needs Adjustment

We recently stayed at this property and were impressed by its beauty and the wonderful community in which it’s located. The area is peaceful, and the home is well-maintained with easy access to nearby amenities. However, we encountered some discrepancies between the listing and the actual accommodations. The listing states that the property can sleep 8 guests, but in reality, it can only accommodate 6 comfortably. It also mentions having 2 bedrooms and an office, with an additional sunroom featuring a couch that converts into two twin beds. However, there is no dedicated office space with twin beds. Instead, the sunroom, which is mentioned separately, is the only extra room with sleeping arrangements—a couch that converts into two twin beds. This setup is functional, but it doesn’t offer the same level of comfort or privacy as a separate office with twin beds would. It's important for future guests to be aware of this difference to ensure that the property meets their needs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate the property's many positive aspects, but we recommend updating the listing to accurately reflect the sleeping arrangements.

My favorite things about Chalet in The Woods are morning coffee in the screened in porch (I love when deer walk past!), working from home with a gorgeous view, and the communal hot tub overlooking the mountains.
