Rented this property for a girls trip to celebrate all of us turning 50 this year. The house is in a great location, very clean, and stocked with everything you need. The host is very responsive with communication as well. Highly recommend! We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at The Stag immensely. The house is beautifully decorated and loaded with comfortable provisions and furnishings that got our vacation off to a smooth start. We stayed for the month of August to get out of Florida's heat and humidity and take in the area's gorgeous waterfalls and fine restaurants. During the month several other couples joined us for a few nights in the spacious guest rooms. The back porch was a pleasant spot to enjoy a glass of wine in the early evening. The neighborhood was a great place to walk our little dog.

We had the best stay at The Stag! We’ve been coming to Highlands for 15 years and this was one of our favorite houses that we’ve ever stayed in. It was very well stocked - anything we needed in the kitchen, laundry room, etc was in there. Even camping chairs to take to the outdoor concerts at the park! WiFi was plenty strong for taking work calls/zoom meetings. The house is about 10-12 minutes to downtown Highlands and 20-25 minutes to Cashiers - so super convenient location. Chris was super responsive anytime we had a question. Would love to stay here again!

Our stay at The Stag was wonderful! Chris and Joy have made a beautiful retreat, and I don't think they missed a single detail! Beautifully decorated, clean, cozy, and if you forgot something from home- they probably have it! Super comfy bed, and luxury linens will give you the best nights sleep at the end of the day. Simply just the perfect place to slow down and enjoy Highlands. Thanks for having us!

Great cabin in the mountains

Beautiful Home!

We stayed at The Stag just before Christmas and absolutely loved it! The house was beautiful with every detail thought through, from the decor to the amenities. They even had it beautifully decorated for Christmas! The beds were comfortable with cozy linens & blankets, the kitchen was well stocked, the location was perfect, and the owners were responsive to communication. Thank you for a great stay!

Gorgeous House

We attended a wedding at Flat Mountain Farm, which was less than half a mile up the road so this location was super convenient for us. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. One of our favorite amenities was the table top “fire” on the side porch. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Chic cozy cottage

Beautifully renovated and decorated Highlands home. Perfect location—quiet but very close to town. Loved sitting by the fire and making s’mores at the fire pit. Chris was a wonderful and accommodating host. Highly recommend this home for your next Highlands getaway!

Spectacular cabin and appointments

Beautiful cabin with 5 star appointments throughout. The artwork is beyond expectations and all the interior decor is gorgeous. The outdoor seating areas are perfect- so relaxing. Love being .2 mile walk to hiking trails. Thank you for allowing dogs, they loved it as well!

The Stag was an excellent property. Very clean and well equipped. Made extensive use of outdoor space. Less than a 10 min drive into Highlands. Bed in master suite was very comfortable. TVs in all rooms, and outside, was a bonus. Will definitely stay again if available.

Perfection
