With Cuchara Ski Basin now open, skiing is just a day trip away! Kayak and fish in the lake, hike, mountain bike or just enjoy the beautiful views. This is the perfect spot to relax for up to 2 adults. Inquire about pets. Come and enjoy Colorado outdoors. This is 20 min from downtown. The roads are dirt and a 4WD is not required but may make travel easier in inclement weather.

Everything about our vacation stay at the Lake Cabin was fantastic! This property has everything going for it if you are looking for a comfortable, cozy, private retreat with a spectacular view of Lake Trinidad and beautiful surroundings. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find a nice bottle of wine and tasty snacks. The host couple, Amy and Martin, were very conscientious about every detail and went out of their way to tend to an unexpected problem with the air conditioning. We plan to return anytime we are in Southern Colorado.

This was the perfect combination of isolation and adventure! It was so quiet at the cabin and the view was beyond description. A trip to the state park nearby and downtown Trinidad complemented this cozy retreat. Our host clearly has a passion for hospitality. Our stay couldn’t have been better!

Extremely comfortable and well-stocked tiny home. A little off the main path but beautiful vies of lake Trinidad. Kitchen very functional, nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Sweet goodies on arrival, including for my pup!

Amazing retreat
