A great cabin, with real homely touches and incredibly comfy beds. Has everything you need for a longer stay, all the kitchen equipment, great grill (electric) and smoker, hot tub and space to enjoy the peace and quiet. Close to lovely Alma, fabulous Fairplay and also Breckenridge for more of the tourist bits. It's easy to access great hikes and easy to head off further into the mountains for day adventures. All communication, when needed with the team was great.
A perfect "wild" hideaway with all the comforts for a fabulous stay...I didn't want to leave!

My wife wanted a lodge in the moutains with a great view and with snow. This provided everything we had ever hoped for and more. The renters were nice and answered any questions that we had. Also, they had options for providing groceries before we arrived and more. We always felt warm here and everything worked exactly as promised. The drive to the location was easy and breathtaking. And so close to anything we wanted to do. We spent most of our time in Breckenridge which was only a 30-40 min drive away. Thank you for a wonderful stay and memory.
The property and cabin were very nice. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed and clean.Location is Beautiful. One night we seen a white fox at the back door. Driveway was plowed and plow guy was nice. If you are sensitive to high altitude be aware this cabin is at 10580 ft. I was fine but my wife and 2 younger kids got altitude sickness. Drink plenty of fluids at this altitude and bringing a few Oxygen bottles that are sold everywhere in the mountains just Incase. Overall cute clean cabin within 30 minutes of Breckenridge.
Do not stay here! I found better options from competitors on Fair play,
The property is not what is listed!! both vrbo and host will shift blame to the customer on their own system failures.
The property is old, dark, smells, has all kinds of broken appliances and carcasses.
The pictures are obviously altered to make it look brighter and bigger, the bed linens were used and dirty, the “king “ bed are two twin bed frames ( couldn’t bother to cover ) with a king mattress barely sitting on top, kitchen was dirty with a very dirty floor and oven, this cabin and town are not worth the 2 hr drive from Denver.
Do not stay and if you consider pls check out the 3D version on a laptop bc your phone won’t show it, that’s the excuse both companies will use as a backup for the lack of service and responsibility of their listings, this on top of harassing messages from both parties, instead of getting angry and defensive with the customer they should listen to the feedback and improve.
This has been a horrible experience from start to finish, the customer service makes a difference and you won’t get that here on top of the sad property they promote.
Look elsewhere, this is not worth your time or money.
On top of the high altitude the upper level of the house was poorly ventilated and had very low oxygen. Leading us to suffer from, burning noises, lethargy, shortness of breath, vomiting and severe headaches and nose bleed.
We were able to contact the property management and were advised about the two humidifiers on the property. We found them too small and totally inadequate for the square footage of the house. We kept opening windows and doors to allow the place to vent and this helped out a bit.
Unfortunately we had to take the two children 8 and 6 to the emergency room. Ones’ oxygen fell to 74 and he had to stay on oxygen overnight. Until they left we had to keep putting the 6 year old on oxygen. Also out of the seven people 6 suffered from a drop in oxygen.
When we finally thought with the kids heading home early we, could relax and watch TV or a show we couldn’t get the TV, Blue Ray or Roku to work. The property management says this was user error.
Our plans for a fun Christmas in Colorado was doomed. We had to leave early it just wasn’t working out for us.

We are truly saddened to hear about the challenges you faced during your stay, particularly concerning the altitude sickness that affected your group. We understand how distressing this must have been for everyone, especially the children.
