Jean was very prompt in answering all of our questions. It is a long hike up the stairs with luggage, but the house is very livable. Very close to attractions like the Pikes Peak Cogway and Garden of the Gods.
Perfect location to Cogg train, Barr trail, and Manitou Incline. Rooms were clean and well decorated and we enjoyed the unique charm of the historic house during our stay.
I don't remember seeing in the contract where we had to start a load of towels but it was on the list on the dining room table house chores. I had contacted Jean and ask about coffee and she said there was coffee and a coffee cake at the house. There were 6 in our group and only 2 small packages for the entire stay (Friday evening thru Sunday morning). Property is centrally located from the trailhead and downtown. I'm not sure the thermostat was working. Nice that each room had itsit'sown bath.

Coffee cake has never been provided for guests at this rental. The one thermostat works for heat in the winter. AC units are individually controlled.
Nice vintage charm, but the portable AC units had trouble keeping up with the heat in July. Nice off street parking, but the entrance to the stairs up to the house was over grown and that made traversing the stairs tricky and it affected the solar lighting at night. Also, the exterior stair handrail was not complete and made it a little difficult carrying things up or down to the parking area. Overall a nice place in a good location for the cog railway and Incline.

For potential guests: All of the AC units do keep the home at a cool and reasonable temperature all summer long. The arbor at the stairway entrance was my idea; I think the greenery looks artistic and nice.
This little gem was exactly as advertised. It was nice to have an all en suite PLUS an additional bathroom downstairs. Kitchen had everything we needed. The indoor dining area was a touch small but the picnic table outside was helpful to accommodate our crew. The location couldn't have been better. Walking distance to everything Manitou, especially the incline. Being on Ruxton Creek and so close to trails and springs was amazing AND we had 3 parking spots!! That is gold in downtown Manitou. A gem indeed
The house is comfortable, historic, and located in easy walking distance to dowtown Manitou Springs. Our hosts, Jean and Michael were friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again. I cant review this property highly enough.
Such an adorable spot with great walking distance to downtown Manitou! The kitchen was one of the most well-stocked I've stayed in as far as cooking devices and utensils and the hot tub was wonderful! Easy check in and out process - thanks for a great stay!
Great location near all the attractions. Nice and clean, hot tub didn’t stay hot very long. The kitchen was was well appointed, and the beds were comfortable.

We thank this guest for her review. The hot tub is a brand new “Hot Springs Spa” brand and does stay to the temp set all the way up to 105. As with any hot tub, it will stay up to temp easier with the cover on instead of removing the cover for an hour and then entering the hot tub.
The house is perfect for 6 people. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. You are provided 3 parking spots off the street which is a huge bonus! You can walk to town from the house too. I really appreciated the holiday decorations as well.
Great location, very easy walk to town. House has everything you could need for a relaxing stay in Manitou. Beautiful views from porch & hot tub. Jean is very communicative & a great host. Would stay again & recommend it to others.
