Weekend in St John’s

Jim is an excellent host. Check in and check out were a breeze. Great location, walking distance to Quidi Vidi. Excellent view. We would definitely stay there again!

Brief But Enjoyable

Our family of three stayed at this property for a brief weekend visit and would recommend it highly. The neighbourhood is very quiet, the location is a convenient drive from downtown, and the home has all the comforts and amenities we could ask for. The view from the back deck is especially recommended.

Ontario to St. John's

Absolutely beautiful place! It is located within walking distance of trails and a short drive to downtown St. John's. The view off the back porch is nothing short of stunning. We felt very spoiled. Will definitely book again!

My family and I really loved our stay at Jim's place. The home is beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice! It had everything we needed and everyone was comfortable in their rooms. The scenery is gorgeous and the location was ideal. We walked down to Quidi Vidi gut most days, and it's an easy walk. It's super easy to get to downtown as well. We also did the hike from Signal Hill. Jim was always responsive and we appreciated the little touches like the welcome note in the kitchen. We would all absolutely stay here again!

Serene little paradise

We had a phenomenal stay here. The location is amazing, the house is so well set up and beautiful and we couldn’t get over how beautiful the backyard / porch view was. Such a special way to wake up in the morning. Honestly we wished we had booked this place for our whole stay in St Johns. Jim was super accommodating and easy to communicate with. We would love to stay here again when we get back to SJ! :)

Son’s wedding

The house is very nice and in a great location. There does need a couple of touch ups cosmetically but over all it’s a great place to stay. One suggestion is to keep a little note on how to work dishwasher.😝

Very well appointed property and kitchen, perfectly situated for dog walks to Signal Hill and to Quidi Vidi village. Ten minute drive to center of St John’s. We would happily stay here again.

This house is in an excellent location - walkable to, and with a beautiful view of, Quidi Vidi Village. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable for our family of four adults, a young child and an infant. Jim, the host, was very quick to respond everytime we had a question. Great, comfortable home in a most convenient setting overlooking scenic quidi vidi. Multiple living spaces assuring that all could do what they wanted (eg. Tv, reading/quiet time), easy access to the city and could walk to quidi vidi. Would most certainly book there again.

Lovely and comfy home

The photos of this property don’t do it justice. This property is well stocked and well maintained. It was very comfortable, close to everything you’d want, and the beds and linens were topnotch. In addition, the home offers a lovely view and is super quiet neighborhood.

Cozy, homey, clean, nice location

Was in town for parents’ medical appointments. This house was perfect. Felt like home. Nice kitchen with everything we needed (and a whole lot more) to cook. Owner was great to communicate with, and very accommodating when our plans changed and we needed to check in early. Excellent experience overall. We even extended our stay for a few more days. Would highly recommend this house. Patio overlooks Quidi Vidi gut. You can leave house and walk to Quidi Vidi lake trail in 30 secs (found a little shortcut). There’s also a walking trail up over the hill that takes you right to Signal Hill. (About 20-30 min hike/walk).

A perfect place to stay with a view.

This home was very well equipped,comfortable, spacious and inviting. The location is perfect for those who are visiting St John’s but want to be close to Signal Hill and right in Quidi Vidi village. The view from the upper deck is gorgeous and one can hike to Signal Hill easily and to the Sugar Loaf trail. Beds are comfortable and rooms are lovely.
