Very clean, quiet neighborhood, central location, enjoyed the patio every morning with coffee. Host supplies all necessities. Recommended doing the wildlife loop! Golfers, Hart Ranch was our favorite, elks course second favorite. Boulder Canyon in Sturgis, not worth the drive.
This was the perfect home away from home. Very comfortable, clean, conveniently located and the property owners were so responsive. Perfect amount of space for our family. We plan on coming back to Rapid City next year and would love to stay there again.
We had such a wonderful stay! The house was exactly what we needed and hoped for. Incredibly clean, super well stocked, beautifully designed and upgraded, lovely backyard space and in a great neighborhood. Host was super quick and thorough with communication. Would recommend to anyone!
Clean home. Nice neighborhood. I was a bit disappointed in that it is an older home, split/level (3 levels) not mentioned in the description. The floors are very creaky which is tough with children. The back yard was nice. But, there were a lot of wasps around so couldn't really use it. Only other concern was that we had 5 people and only enough hot water for a couple. Kinda rough after a long day. I would give it a 7 or maybe an 8, but sure not a 10.
Everything about this rental was superb! The property owner was always prompt with communication and accommodated our late switch of dates without any difficulties or reservations. The home was tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The home was stocked with thoughtful, included items (e.g., a box fan and a sound machine), which demonstrated a lot of experience in the property rental game and were greatly appreciated. The standout feature of the property was the back patio that was utilized daily for reading, grilling, and mealtimes. If you are looking for a place to stay in Rapid, this should be on your short list!
We stayed here in Rapid City so we could be centrally located to the places we wanted to experience while on vacation (Mt. Rushmore, Devil's Tower, Custer State Park, etc.). This place was spacious, clean, and felt comfortable coming back to after a long day of hiking and driving to places.
We drove up from Colorado to take our kiddos to a concert. This place was perfect for us!! We were disappointed we didn’t have more time just to sit and enjoy the front and back patios that were amazing!! Communication was also very good! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place!
This property was perfect for my family..including girls aged 3, 6, and 9. It is a short 30 monute drive to Mt. Rushmore and other attractions are evene closer. We stayed over a holiday and were really able to enjoy the outdoor area. The kids loved the grass lawn ( we are from the desert so grass is awe inspiring to them). Super friendly for kids to include toys, bunk beds and dishes. Everything we needed was available, and the host was very kind.
First - Sue is fabulous to work with. She was so quick to respond to emails and notes I sent before our trip and set everything up perfectly for when we arrived. The house was exactly as described and while it's an older home, it has been updated and decorated nicely. We were very comfortable there and did not need for anything. The kitchen is well stocked, towels and shower items were abundant and check out specifics were listed and easy to follow. Overall we had a great visit and while it was a little chilly, we did get to enjoy the backyard with some cornhole and sitting by the fire until it got too windy! Beautiful backyard! Thank you for everything Sue!
Overall, everything was great! House was very clean, even the kitchen! My only complaint about this place was the checkout time changed suddenly the night before we were checking out. it was only by an hour, but it did affect our schedule. Literally everything everywhere said check out was 11 AM. And I mean literally everywhere. Every email I ever got said 11 AM. The night before we were to check out. The owner suddenly said that we needed to be out basically at 10 o’clock instead of 11. It’s not a huge deal but it was frustrating to us. That’s not something that should change at the last minute. And consistency is key!
Lovely spotless home well situated to all area attractions. The kitchen was extremely well equipped but to us, the star of the show was the outdoor patio/pergola strung with Edison lights and equipped with a gas fire pit. Nice grill, too! Easy to enter and exit with keypad locks - no need to worry about keys. Just a couple miles to Rapid City - easy! And some nice supermarkets nearby. Quick access to all roads leading to nearby towns, close to Mt Rushmore, easy traveling to The Badlands and Custer State Park, Wall, Spearfish and all things Black Hills. We highly recommend this property!
The house was beautifully updated with everything we could need. We enjoyed dinners on the back patio and lounging around the fire table. We also enjoyed board games after a day of Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and The Mammoth Site. The neMerrifieldwas quiet and safe.
