About this property

Incredible views, pet friendly - Twinflower Summit

Twinflower Summit is a wonderful mountain cabin with majestic views of Mount LeConte and the Smokies, and only minutes to downtown Gatlinburg. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 & 1/2 baths, and 3 levels of relaxation and fun! Upper levels have hardwood floors and the main level bathroom has been remodeled with accessibility in mind. Both beds have memory foam mattresses for ultimate comfort! We are pet friendly, but do require that pets be crated if left unattended at the property.

This home offers main level living for those who may be mobility impaired (it is not fully wheelchair accessible, however). It requires only two steps up from the driveway, and then the main level has everything necessary - kitchen, dining, living room, bedroom with king size bed, and a full bathroom with a walk in shower and bench. There are beautiful hardwood floors throughout. The full kitchen has stainless steel appliances and all the necessities. The dining area features large picture windows and has plenty of seating. The centerpiece of the living room is a beautiful mountain stone gas fireplace. The floor to ceiling windows allow for plenty of natural light and gorgeous views of Mount LeConte. There is a sleeper sofa to accommodate additional guests, and there is a flat screen Roku TV and a Blu-ray player. The spacious deck has a dining area and a conversation area, making it the perfect place to enjoy coffee with views in the morning or outdoor dining in the evening. And the hot tub has amazing views for relaxing at the end of the day. And if ever you need to leave your pets alone at the cabin for a bit, there is a spacious, heavy duty 24x48 built-in dog crate to keep your furry family member safe.

The upper level is devoted to a spacious master suite, with tongue in groove wood ceilings adding a cabin feel to this elegant space. A large jetted tub is situated perfectly to enjoy the Smoky Mountains view from the picture windows. The private balcony has furniture for two and spectacular views. There is also a flat screen Roku TV that swivels so it can be viewed from all areas. There is a full bath with double sinks.

The lower level is an ideal hangout space for the kids (and kids at heart). The game room offers a flat screen Roku TV, pool table, and a video arcade with over 50 classic arcade games. There is a half bath and full laundry on this level.

The paved driveway has plenty of room for level parking, and the home is near the very end of the road, providing maximum privacy. There is also a park grill (charcoal, not gas) near the front porch for your own, private cookout!

Only minutes to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, as well as minutes to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and all the attractions!

The house is unique for the area in that it is at the top of a mountain, the end of the road and has wonderful privacy, and yet it still has a generous, level parking area and enough yard for an outdoor charcoal grill.

Great cabin that needs a little love
The cabin is beautiful and has amazing mountains views. The patio furniture and hot tub make for great relaxation while taking in a private landscape view of mountains. The indoor furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with nice dishware and appliances; better than what we've seen in other rentals. We also enjoyed playing pool on the billiards table. It is a quiet and peaceful location that is a short drive to everything in Gatlinburg. There are, however, some opportunities for the owner to take a little better care of the cabin. The downstairs basement area where the pool table is located has a musty odor and has signs of mold along the baseboards. There were an abundance of stink bugs in the house. We expect some bugs given that it's a cabin in the mountains, but we found and killed no fewer than 10 stink bugs in the house per day. We found them in our towels, in our shoes, in the tub, on the curtains, and on the walls. The cabin provides bath towels but does not provide pool towels for the hot tub. Lastly, the cabin only provides shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for one day's worth. We had to go to the store to buy our own bottles. While not a huge deal, we expected more for the price we paid. It's more about the convenience of having it there. For example, we'd be happy with the $5-6 Amazon basic bottles. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the views and location. We would gladly return if some of the noted issues were resolved.

Magical Mountain Vacation
We found this property to be everything we could hope for. We loved sitting at the dining room table staring at the Great Smoky Mountains—so serene. The kitchen was very well appointed & the beds were quite comfortable! Because we had two couples, the floor plan worked perfectly for us. We all agreed we would highly recommend this cabin!

Great, but...
So the good and the bad... For me personally, I would not stay here again for a few reasons that may not apply to everyone. First- The drive to the cabin was too steep, narrow and that final hairpin turn was worse than I expected. It is a doozy and I can not imagine this road at night or in bad weather. I dreaded going to and from the cabin each day. But if you are use to driving in these mountains, it may not be a big deal. Second- I am allergic to dogs, and had hoped the fact that it is a "pet friendly" cabin would not be an issue but it was. We noticed quite a bit of dog hair... a lot under the furniture, baseboards, etc... Lastly, if you are going in the summer, the upstairs Master Bedroom is very warm. We could not sleep upstairs. Fortunately they did have a secondary bedroom on the main floor and that stayed cool. The only issue for me, was that was also where the large dog crate is located, and my allergies left me stuffy and sneezing. Overall, the cabin was nice and had a great view. It just isn't fit for everyone.

Beautiful and convenient
This was our first trip to the Smokey mountains. We didn’t realize how truly beautiful the view would be from the very top! 360 degree view of the mountains! Everything was within about 15 minutes. We even saw a bobcat right outside. We hope to stay here again on our next trip.

Great Place Great View....and Quiet
Stayed between Christmas and Left New Years Day...Gatlinburg was crazy busy so the remoteness of the cabin was relaxing. Everything that was promised in the description was accurate...everything worked and the owner was exceptional in her communication with us.

Great Fall Get-Away
We had a wonderful relaxing time. The overall ambiance and views were amazing. The place was immaculate and well stocked with all needed linens and kitchen utensils. Even our dog was impressed with the plush dog bed and crate. Relaxing in the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind on the crisp October evenings.

Fur baby first vacation
The dwelling was older than I thought but had everything we could need and this was first time we traveled with our Blue Healer dog. Lynae was a super manager and always very quick to respond on any questions. The last turn in road to cabin is a very very tight hairpin turn we had to back up some to make the turn but was able to manage.

Beautiful Home!
Everything about this property exceeded our expectations! The views are breathtaking! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. The upstairs bedroom is very spacious and the jacuzzi was very nice. Even with the very short drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge it was hard to find reasons to leave this wonderful cabin!

Weekend Getaway - Overall Impressed!
Spent a couple nights here over the weekend. Cabin is a little tricky to get to with some tight turns, but not impossible. It is easy to spot with its red roof during the day. The drive to the top is worth the views once you get there. Parking is adequate. You share a large paved area with the neighboring cabin. Lynae was super easy to communicate with and texted me the door code before we arrived so we could get right in without issue. Upon first entering the cabin you are greeted with a well stocked recently renovated kitchen. I believe there was every utensil we could imagine in this kitchen but most showed obvious signs of wear and some misuse. We had no issues preparing meals but it may be time to start replacing some of the kitchenware. There is a coffee maker with plenty of coffee filters so just need to buy the grounds. Lynae provides a small bottle of dish soap and a few dishwasher tablets so you can clean as needed. There is a sign by the thermostat that says the heat should be set to 65 in the winter and the AC to 75 in the summer. When we arrived the heat was set to 71 so I am unsure if you are required to adhere to these temps. Thankfully my girlfriend and I prefer it colder so we lowered the heat to 65 anyways given that the weather was on the colder side this was perfect for us. During the warmer months keeping the ac at 75 may have been a bit uncomfortable for us. Heat tends to collect in the upstairs master bedroom. The gas fireplace is easy to use with a simple knob turn that is on a timer. The main level has a very open and spacious deck with a hot tub. When we arrived the hot tub was at 70 degrees but was actively heating up. I imagine the management company either just cleaned the hot tub or keeps it set lower to save on energy when not in use. Either way within 3-4 hours the hot tub was at 100 degrees and maintained perfect temperature all weekend long so no complaints at all. Just be sure to check as soon as you get there so you can enjoy it when you're ready! The beds are super comfortable. The upstairs master has a jacuzzi tub that is quite large and works great. Only thing I will say is that the drain plug lever is tricky. You have to make sure it is in the correct position or all your hot water will leak out leading to a short soak. The location of this cabin is very convenient. Some of the photos on here are out of date and do not reflect how great the kitchen and back deck are. We would happily stay here again.

This cabin and location were perfect. The cabin had everything the family needed from nice size king beds, private bathrooms, hot tub to relax in after long hikes, and a basement to play pool and arcade game's at night. It was very peaceful and quiet at the cabin which we appreciated. The host was excellent and provided detailed information prior to our arrival. We would certainly stay again.

Nice cabin tucked away in the woods.
The cabin is nicely tucked away in the mountain with a wonderful view. The kitchen and bathrooms are nicely updated. All the balconies were wonderful and the beds were amazing! It was perfect for our family of 4. Only downfall was you weren't allowed to adjust the thermostat (set at 75) and the upstairs bedroom got significantly warmer than the main floor. There is a standing fan in the bedroom, but a bit loud to sleep with that running (for me at least). There is a certain bug that seams to have taken residence in the cabin as well. We killed the first few, but after that there were just more and they were harmless so we just let it be. Overall a nice cabin.
