About the host
Hosted by Sheryl and Philippe Maltais
Phil and Sheryl have owned our main cabin since 2016. We eventually bought the waterfront land adjacent to us and had a cabin built with local timber. We finished the inside ourselves, which is a labor of love and want to share our little piece of heaven with others.
Why they chose this property
This property is located on the furthest end of Tucker Rd., offering privacy and a quiet retreat from the overstimulation of life. If you are seeking nightlife and entertainment you will have to travel 40min to the 2 largest towns of Hanover and Lebanon.
What makes this property unique
Much care and consideration have gone into fixtures and finishes to represent NH at its finest. The breakfast bar is constructed with live edge hemlock from this region and a local granite slab. During construction we used many repurposed materials and situated the cabin as to remove as few trees. We use and don't use certain products to be gentle on the environment. The pond is spring and brook fed, very clear water, appropriate for washing dishes and bathing safely. Do not drink the water. Motor boats and jet ski's are not allowed on the pond. Hike the roads and follow the many brooks to experience the small waterfalls all accessible from the cabin or your kayak that is provided for you. This region is seeped in historical mica mines offering unique exploration.
