Our family of 8 had a wonderful time. A beautiful cabin which is more like a home and was a great location to get us tubing, the train ride and into the National Park. We stayed six nights and everything we needed was provided. Especially loved the hot tub! Just be aware those with a hard time negotiating steps might have difficulty getting to the fire pit as it is many steps down. But was a great place for our family.
The owners of this beautiful home were very attentive and helpful with all our needs, responding quickly to our questions, etc. The layout of the house was perfect for our family. The location was great, with amazing views. The home was well-equipped and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning!
Fully stocked and plenty of space to be comfortable with multiple people. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing location for my 60th birthday. Great views from deck.
The cabin was awesome… nicely decorated, easy access into the cabin, well furnished, very comfortable, relaxing atmospere, great location, and excellent communication from the cabin owners prior to arrival, during stay, and after checkout. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation.
We come every year for our family reunion. We have always stayed in cabin rentals and this was me of the top. Convenient to get to, very clean, beautiful view from deck! We loved it!
This house was all they said it would be. It was fully stocked, a million dollar view, clean and wonderful. We spent five amazing nights at this property and wish we could have stayed for even more. It is convenient to Franklin and Bryson City and many activities in the area. It truly is nestled in in paradise and we highly recommend!
The property was clean, beautifully manicured, thoughtful safety features such as well lighted walkways, gates and nonskid tape. The fire pit and hot tub were wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped for any type of cooking. Overall a five star house
Our family loved our mountain Thanksgiving at your home! It was perfect for our group, We had plenty of room to spread out, beautiful scenery and walks, and the cabin had everything we needed. Communication was very good with the owner, and our check in and check out moved smoothly. It is a vacation we will always treasure!
My family of 5, my mother, father, and Grandmother in-law throughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is just as described. Very clean, nicely stocked kitchen, and a hot tub with a view! Plenty of room for us all. It was perfect for our trip! Communication with the host was also timely and informative.
Our Labor Day weekend stay was fantastic. Communication from the host before, during, and after our stay was excellent. The tri-level floor plan makes the top two levels best for folks who like to share space. The basement level offers a separate cozy space. Bonus points for well stocked kitchen, good internet, spacious decks, and seclusion in a beautiful area. The 8 mile curvy road leading to the cabin gets shorter and more comfortable each time we drove the 25 minutes to Nantahala Outdoor Center.
The property was as advertised, and amazing! Although there are houses nearby, we felt as though we had the mountainside to ourselves. Really enjoyed the spacious porch with beautiful mountain views, which were also seen from the hot tub on the lower porch. Enjoyed a couple of days of hiking, Siler Bald and Williams Pulpit, followed by stops in Franklin. We especially enjoyed Gracious Plates on Main and the Lazy Hiker Brewery. We also enjoyed the short walk to the river, and our son caught some nice fish, which is always a plus. Mike could not have been any easier to communicate with. Highly recommend the property, and hope to return at some point. The Younts Family
From the moment you walk onto the porch to get into this house the view overwhelms you. From the fog settling in the mountains below in the morning to the stars at night you never get tired of the view. We were there to hike and the only problem we had was trying to decide which trail to take. There are restaurants in nearby Franklin and Bryson City but we decided to grill in and enjoy the deck and fire table. There is also a great fire pit. You will never regret choosing this house. The owner is also great and always available. We were first worried about access after the hurricane and he assured us it was ok. I also left a Kindle and he contacted me before I knew I had left it.
Just a fabulous experience. A must choice if you are wanting to visit western North Carolina.
We rented this cabin as a family vacation for myself, my husband, our teenage son, and some of our adult children. There was a total of six of us. Our plans were to spend family time together and take a train ride from Bryson City. I found the host of this property to be easy to contact and very helpful. Some of our plans changed after booking and the host kindly accommodated our changes. The property is perfectly located. It truly feels private and tucked away, but easy to access with a good, paved road. The cabin was clean, with a good floor plan, and comfortable beds. There is a hot tub located on a covered deck. That was nice because we got rain and were still able to use it. The hot tub is well-maintained and very nice. We utilized the fire pit down the hill and had great family time making s’mores, laughing, and reminiscing. That was one of those nights where I realized our trip was exactly how I wanted it to be. The Great Smoky Mountain train station in Bryson City was about 30 minutes drive from the cabin. Not bad. We were able to come and go several times to visit Bryson City, Cherokee, and do some local hiking, without worrying about the drive being too far or too troublesome. Nothing is ten minutes away, but there are things to do if you’re willing to drive 20 minutes away. We saw lots of places with tubing rentals and rafting, and some of us may visit again and do that. If we do, we would definitely consider staying here again.
We celebrated Christmas with family! Rode Polar Express for grandkids!! A wonderful experience for all!! We loved the cabin, hot tub and fire pit for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores! We loved the beautiful views!
Very clean and spacious! Well equipped home with all the essentials provided. The weather didn’t cooperate for us so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor decks and fire pit area but it all looked wonderful! Mike was on top of any questions we had about our stay! Overall a great experience!

Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood for the spectacular drive up the mountain and the views of the river as you lave the neighborhood. Our neighborhood is the perfect location to find adventures for all seasons, Whether we turn left or right out of the neighborhood we are headed towards adventures. If we stay at the cabin all day, we are content to soak in the tranquil scenery and sounds of each of the seasons.
What makes this property unique
The cabin was built on a mountain with breathtaking mountain views and we are close to the Nantahala Outdoor Center that the locals call the "Gorge". There are fun adventures and leisure activities for everyone! The entrance of our neighborhood is perpendicular to the Little Tennessee River which offers unique and beautiful views at every turn. Driving along the river you will see fly fishing, swimmers in tubes, and kayaking. We've also seen wildlife including deer, otters, various birds, and eagles.
