Family retreat with pool, bocce, basketball, fire pit, and huge yard
Spacious 7-bedroom home on 1.2 acres (5 bedrooms in main house and 1 bedroom with sleeping loft in guest house). Updated kitchen with new appliances, and everything necessary to prepare meals. The kitchen connects to the screened porch which has a dining table for 12, comfortable couches, a TV, and a gas grill. The guest house has a sitting/TV area, ping pong, and a steam shower. The property features a large heated pool (seasonal), a year-round hot tub, a half basketball court, and a bocce court. 1 1/2 blocks to public Lake Michigan beach. WiFi, cable TV, an outdoor fire pit, plenty of yard to play in, outdoor shower.

Your host
We are a family from Chicago that loves to entertain friends and family at our home in Union Pier. We've made so many great memories here over the last almost 40 years! We are on to the third generation of our family enjoying the home.
Why they chose this property
It's an easy 90-minute drive from the north side of Chicago and you can get here in a little more than an hour from the Loop. We're only a few hundred yards from the beach and can walk to "downtown" Union Pier.
What makes this property unique
We love the space we have to roam and the huge trees on the property. There is a lot to offer in the surrounding area but we rarely end up leaving the property. We're too busy playing in the (heated) pool, bocce ball, basketball, pickleball, and so on. And if you hit the beach, you can rinse off in the outdoor shower and transition right into grilling and happy hour. If it's rainy or a little cool, we hang out on the screened porch, pop on the overhead heaters, and play games or watch a movie or sporting event on the outdoor TV. After we catch the sunset, we will get a campfire going, turn on the outdoor speakers, and kick back while the kids play "Ghost in the Graveyard" or roast smores.
