Great family-friendly spot that worked for Michigan family to meet up with Chicago family. Everyone to make this space work and be safe for a family with little ones was there. Frank was friendly and helpful. Pool was great. Beach was nice.
This is a fantastic property with a fantastic host. So fantastic, in fact, that I've stayed here twice for the same purpose. The location is great - walking distance to Lake Michigan. The amenities are spot on. We rented this for a bike ride in Three Oaks, so hot tub was of prime concern. Hot tub was hot AND clean. Charcoal grills provided excellent steak post ride, the beds were plentiful and comfortable.Check in and communication were great. Zero complaints, will rent again next time we do the ride!
There were 20 of us in the two cottages for our annual one week extended family vacation. We all enjoyed the nearby beach and overall had a great time. The location was convenient. The only downside was that the hot water in cottage A was out for the first 3 days. The owner had a plumber come in twice to fix it. Once that issue was resolved we found the cottages just fine for our large group.

The issue with the hot water was not related to the tankless heater. The plumber suspected it was. Then he suspected faulty shower valve. After spending over $1200 in plumbing repairs it turned out none of the repairs were related to the actual cause of the problem. The problem was the outside shower had the hot and cold valves open with a blocked shower hear. This allowed cold and hot water to mix throughout the house plumbing pipes. Once we discovered this, problem solved.
Wonderful stay for a bigger group! We had a great experience at this property. We were especially lucky that the other side of the cottage was empty during our stay, so we had extra privacy and didn’t need to share the backyard or jacuzzi with other guests. The location is beautiful, with easy beach access right across the street, which made our stay even more special. The house itself is a bit older, but very clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with everything needed for cooking and serving meals. Overall, this was a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
My aunt, sister and I spent a long weekend here to unwind and be together. The cottage was a wonderful place for this with a hot tub and a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our time here!
My family stayed here with several friends and we had a wonderful vacation. The cottages were exactly as advertised and they were very close to the beach. Pool was good for little kids.

It is always great to hear how much people enjoyed themselves at out cottages. That is what it is all about. We often hear how much people enjoy the pool and the short walk to the beach. I hope we can host your family again in the future.

Great set up with both cottages. Everyone loved their bedrooms and the common areas were great for having everyone together. Our host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would recommend this property to anyone.
Cottages were very clean & nicely decorated. The enclosed adjoining porch was great that made it easy for us to go back & forth between the cottages. Kitchen/dining areas were great. Love the oversized stoves as it made cooking for 15 easy. Overall a very nice place.
Despite the frigid cold we enjoyed our stay in cabin A. It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Frank was great: when there was the chance we would have to cancel due to the weather, he suggested a change of plans and accommodated us.
This was a great place to spend a long weekend with 18 friends. The two separate cottages were physically attached, so it was easy to move from one to the other by either the front door or the back door, and each cottage had its unique perks. The hot tub was refreshing, and the beach was easy to access. Would highly recommend.
We were really dedicated to hosting our families in a shared, yet private space, and we were not disappointed. From walks on the beach to dinners in town, this place has it all.
The houses are comfortable and inviting with all amenities, and our host was kind and thoughtful in our communications.
Renting two properties is no small amount of money, so we were apprehensive, but quickly found out there was no reason to be. We found an incredible experience and great owners, we can't wait to go back.
Loved Lake Michigan but challenging to get there from property and was misleading in presentation.

Unfortunately had this guest spent any time reviewing our listing prior to reserving, she would have known we are not on the beach but are a short walk to the beach and our hot tub is not available during the summer. Our description and captions under our photos explain when the hot tub is available. We did correspond with this guest during their stay and they reported everyone was having an enjoyable stay.
This cottage was a lovely place for a weekend getaway for 3 adult siblings, spouses, and our dogs. The house was very clean and had an open floorplan that was conducive to visiting and playing board games. The kitchen was very thoroughly equipped. While the cottage is clearly geared towards summer rental, it was also lovely in the winter. It was warm and cozy and we loved the easy access to Lake Michigan, which was stunning in the ice and fresh snowfall. The only slight concern for us was that the beds and pillows could have been more comfortable, but we are an older group so perhaps we feel that more than other renters, and otherwise the cottage was very comfortable. I would definitely rent it again.
6 friends stayed in cottage B over a weekend. Frank was very communicative and willing to troubleshoot problems with us. His rentals are clean and we appreciate the fully stocked kitchen.
We weren’t able to use the hot tub during our stay but Frank was willing to negotiate a refund for the inconvenience. Frank puts together a long and detailed information booklet for his guests. I appreciate the care he puts into his rentals.

The only problem was related to a malfunction on the hot tub which our specialist was attempting to repair. Unfortunately, what first appeared like a malfunctioning heater turned out to be a bad pump caused by a malfunction in the control board. All has since been repaired and functioning fine now.
Aside from the hot tub malfunction, Jeanne and her friends did tell me they had an enjoyable stay. We would welcome them back again in the future.
