Peaceful Family Getaway!

New construction build completed in Spring 24’ this (4) Bed, (3) full baths and (2) half baths sits on a .5 acre, partially wooded lot located on a private road in Lakeside ideal for family visits to enjoy a peaceful getaway. The home is located two blocks from the private beach on Lake Michigan (note there are roughly 85 steps down to private beach). Public beach access (no steps) 3 min drive. House sleeps 13 - three king beds, three twin and 1 full in bunk room. There is a pull out queen sofa bed in the upstairs den with TV. All bedrooms (except bunk room) have 55” TV’s. Large screened porch with 70” TV, weather-master window system and ceiling mounted heater for colder nights. Other amenities include upstairs laundry room, gas fire pit, synthetic turf bocce/putting/recreation court, 240V EV charger (tesla), (12) Beach chairs, Lily Pad, wagon, cooler, and beach toys. Two minute drive to Union Pier restaurants, bakery and grocery store; 10 minute drive to downtown New Buffalo. This is my second time renting this property. Great setup with close proximity to beach, coffee shop and restaurants. It’s a relaxing getaway just a short drive from Chicago. Will definitely be back and communication with owners was beyond expectation!

This is a great house. It had everything we needed for a wonderful beach vacation. Beds and furniture are comfortable and in great condition. Kitchen was well stocked but not over crowded like some rentals. The large screened in porch was perfect for large family dinners. We enjoyed the bocci ball court most evenings. Gas fire place is real plus. We’ll be back.

Great location!

We really enjoyed our recent stay. The house was very clean, and in a great location. Close to so many Harbor County attractions. Can’t beat the short walk to the beach either. We’ll definitely visit again soon.

Great location & house!

We had a great time! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach. The house is well laid out & we (incl. kids 4-13) enjoyed the screen porch & bocce ball court. It is well appointed with a lot of little extra conveniences - containers for food leftovers, shampoo, laundry detergent, beach towels, games for rainy days. Even a splash pad! We hope to make this an annual tradition!

We had a large group of friends and family staying here, with an age range of 5 years old to 80. Every one of us loved the house. It was super clean, comfortable and spacious. Short walk to the beach, easy 10-minute drive to downtown New Buffalo, less than 45 minutes to Notre Dame. The bocce ball court/putting green was put to good use as well. The hosts were also very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs and requests. We'd highly recommend staying at this property.

Our family's new favorite place! Everything about this home was was perfection...the cleanliness, the location, the excellent and kind communication with Ellen and the fact that every detail was thoughtfully considered for guests. Our kids are aged 15-23 and their reactions as they walked into the home were priceless. We enjoyed quality family time playing bocce ball on the turf, s'mores by the fire pit, and games in the beautiful porch. The home is surrounded by beautiful trees and felt very safe, a peaceful getaway for our busy family. The beach is just a short walk and was truly beyond our expectations! Our first night we arrived in time to see the most beautiful sunset and each day we enjoyed time at the beach. The sand is soft and the water clear and the home had beach chairs, a wagon, and a Maui mat for guests to use. Coming down the stairs and seeing the beach will always be a special memory, it is magical!The Lakeside area is ideal for a peaceful getaway. Our daughters enjoyed getting coffee at the Whistle Stop each day and we loved that it was not a busy area and yet only a short drive to restaurants, grocery stores and Warren Dunes State Park where we enjoyed a beautiful hike. We loved this home so much that we extended our stay and our kids asked if we can make this a place we visit again and again. I give my highest recommendation to anyone, it was the perfect home for our family getaway and we are so grateful we found it!

Very Nice House

We enjoyed this house a lot. The outdoor space up front was so great. Very nice front porch to sit and the kids could play on the bocce court even after a lot of rain. Bedrooms were spacious, we even used a small toddler air mattress in one and it was so great that everyone had their own bathroom. Overall house quality was very nice. Still some things that they appear to be finishing but nothing that affected our stay. Kitchen has everything you could need to cook and even Tupperware for storage. Super quick walk to the private beach which was great! In July it had a great sandbar and no rocks! Not very crowded at all. Highly recommend. The house had more than enough quality chairs, beach towels, and even toys! Our kids loved the lily pad as well when we carried it to the beach one day. The only downside is that there is a little road noise as you are close to red arrow and the trains can be quite loud when they go by. Although this is the case with many houses in the area so don’t let it deter you. Every tv I used was a smart tv with easy access to streaming which was great on a rainy day. Board games and a few puzzles also entertained us. I would definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect for our family of eight. Everything was super clean and well designed. We spent most of our time on the screened porch- we loved that we could seat everyone at the table and also watch tv on the sectional in the morning. The fire pit and bocce court out front were an added bonus. It was about a two block walk to the beautiful beach. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous house near the lake

Gorgeous home, very new and clean with great layout and amenities. Space for everyone and really well appointed. The common spaces, both inside and out, are great for gatherings. The bedrooms are spacious, quiet and really comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms are high end. Private beach is a couple of blocks away. Owners are great communicators and very nice people.

Highly Recommend!

This beautiful home was the perfect fit for our group of 10 women. Everyone was extremely pleased with the accommodations. Plenty of bedrooms/beds/bathrooms. Well-equipped kitchen. The 3 season room was everyone’s favorite room!! Loved sitting on the couch, with the overhead heater on the chilly mornings. The perfect spot for drinking coffee. And the large table in the 3 season room was perfect for playing board and card games. There is so much to do in the immediate area. The town of New Buffalo has some fabulous restaurants and bars. We hired a limo and checked out several nearby wineries and breweries. I just can’t say enough good things about this home. The owners, Ellen and Todd were exceptional hosts. Answered questions in a very timely manner. We can’t thank you enough for sharing your gorgeous home with us.

Great Weekend Away

Great spot for a family week

Beautiful, new home just steps from Lake MI. GREAT bocce ball court and firepit right on the property. Beautiful, neutral, uncluttered rooms and a wonderful bunkroom for a large family. Kitchen and bathrooms were perfectly appointed.

What makes this property unique

The home has been designed in a fashion to create several very comfortable places to relax. The upstairs "den" is intended for the kids or simply the den you want to go to to take a break from all the fun. The recreation/bocce court in front can be used for just about anything you can think of in a clean, level 42'x22' outdoor space. Seating for (14) in front patio/entertaining space. This space is made to enjoy as a large group comfortably.
