Escape to the coziest, lakeside cottage. Recently renovated to perfection, this quaint and well-kept 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage is located on a private road and down the road from a private beach paradise. This property is perfect for couples, families and friends alike as it is a cozy space, yet large enough for privacy. Enjoy cooking in a well equipt kitchen, read a book on the covered porch, walk down the lane to dip your feet in the lake, or enjoy a nice barbecue with a cocktail- your options here are endless. In case you aren't a well suited guest for completely unconnecting, we have the fastest wifi you will ever experience and a cable TV in each room. The house has its own driveway for ample overnight parking and an in-unit washer/dryer for convenience. Complete with air conditioning and heat, your stay here is guaranteed to be enjoyable and comfortable. Our superb location is a stones throw from Union Pier, New Buffalo and Harbert, but nestled in our own friendly, lakeside community. We provide many amenities to make sure your stay is as effortless as possible, after all, life is great at the lake!

We are Family Friendly: We proudly partner with BabyQuip for Baby Gear Rental. Additional information available upon request from owner. Including but not limited to: strollers, wagons, car seats, full size cribs, Snoo's, pack n' plays, highchairs or boosters, toys, baby gates, extra beach gear and much more. We also provide a curated list of recommended activities in our area if the beach isn't calling your name.

Great Beach Cottage

Had a fantastic stay with our family, 5 total. Access to the private beach was the best part. Short drive to New Buffalo and other towns. Planning to go back next summer !

Cute cottage

The location of the cottage is fantastic. It’s a cute little cottage only about a block from the beach entrance, and having a private entrance is an added bonus! There were a couple of minor things, nothing big. Hailey was quick to respond to our concerns and rectified the problems.

Just what our family needed!

Every year we come to the area for our annual vacation. This was the our 2nd year staying at the Lakeside cottage and it was wonderful. The cottage had everything we needed and we love being so close to the beach especially during our last stay when we had 95 degrees over the weekend. Hope to make this our family tradition and stay next year!

Lovely location on a quiet lane with gorgeous tall trees, short walk to an amazing private beach. Small but comfy bedrooms, light-filled front porch with plenty of couches and large kitchen. We spent a half a week here with our toddler and parents - great space to cook meals, hang out in the house, short drive to small communities along the lake and we went down to the beach every day! The owner was very responsive to any issues that came up.

Lovely relaxing beach getaway

This was the perfect quiet getaway for my husband, 6 year old son and I. The property is super clean, well stocked and has the best mattresses of any VRBO I have stayed in. (You know that can be an issue!) The neighborhood is quiet and the private beach access is priceless especially during these times of “social distancing”

Cozy and Convenient

This home is clean, neat and well-supplied. It’s a good spot for a base camp to explore the southwest corner of the state. The beach is lovely, but be prepared for the 65 steps down...and back up, of course. It is, however, worth it. We would certainly stay here again.

Relaxing beach weekend

This place was just what we needed for a long-weekend getaway. The house isn't fancy, but the proximity to the private beach is great! Photos and description are accurate; the appliances and decor in the house are a little older. It's close enough to New Buffalo to drive into town to eat or explore there. Some of the nearby neighbors are touchy about where on the beach you go (don't want people in front of their house, close to the lane's beach entrance), but everyone we talked to from the lane who share the private beach were kind and welcoming. It wasn't very crowded, even on a popular weekend. We had a great time - grilled most of our meals, hung out in the screened-in porch, and spent much of the day at the beach.

Very cozy shabby chic cottage in a twist location. Easy walk to a gorgeous beach (there are stairs) with crystal clean water. The cottage has everything you may need or want and the owner Hailey is a gem!

The house was nicely appointed and very clean. The owner was very responsive to any issue we may have had. The location was great, a short walk to a private beach. Our only issue was the large ant infestation. While we were told there might be a few ants given that the neighborhood is very woodsy, which we would understand, there were not just a few but many. They were on most of the counter tops in the kitchen, in one of the bathrooms and in two of the bedrooms. We even found one in the salt shaker. Needless to say, it was disconcerting. It made a very nice place difficult to enjoy.We know the owner is addressing the issue and wish her well in trying to eradicate them.

Perfect spot

Charming, comfortable cottage that was very clean and well appointed. We’ve rented many places in the area and we will definitely be coming back to this place when it’s available. One of the best beaches in the area and it’s not crowded like the public access beaches down the road in U.P.

Perfect place for our Girl's Getaway

The cottage was charming. Updated kitchen and bathrooms, everything you could possibly need available for your use, and great instructions and communications with host. Would definitely consider coming back to Cozy Cottage again!

The Cottage

My family and I stayed at The Cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage was clean and just a short walk to the beach. It is also a close drive to New Buffalo. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

Quant and quiet

The home and neighborhood are lovely. Though in what feels like a safe location the area is populated and off of a main highway. Though the walk to the beach isn’t far the bike lock used for the gate was unexpected. Well worth the walk the view and beach access is just as stunning during off season.
