Summer Weekly Rentals Saturday to Saturday in June - August

Enjoy the open floor plan, 3 bedrooms (master and 2 bedrooms) 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, comfortable living room furniture and fireplace. The newly renovated main bathroom now has a deep tub to take away the stress of the city. One block to the private association beach. After a fun day at the beach, you can play in the front yard, relax in the screened porch or soak in the hot tub. Outdoor hot tub can be enjoyed all year long.

Whether you are coming to enjoy the fresh air, shooting stars or walks on the beach, the Cozy Cottage has a lot to offer. Come to reduce your stress and recharge.

Cozy, Cute, and Clean

Perfect for our four friends girls’ trip! SUPER comfortable living space! Everything was as described plus more. Easy walk to private beach (you do need a pass to get in -don’t try to go before your check-in). Yes, the steps are a lot, but totally worth it! Comfortable beds, great family-friendly games, books, & DVDs. We had a very relaxing getaway with lots of laughs. Will definitely book again! Our favorite.

Cute spot close to the beach!

The house was really nice and clean, and offered all the amenities we needed for a family reunion in Notre Dame. Close to some cute little spots, but still relaxing and secluded. Really enjoyed being so close to Lake Michigan! Janette was very kind and responsive throughout our stay.

Cozy, nicely outfitted house just a short walk to gorgeous, private beach.

We cannot overstate how much we loved our stay here! This house is clearly beloved and is well-stocked with all of the cooking and beach supplies you might need for a weekend away. Quiet, laid-back neighborhood, friendly neighbors waved hello to us every time they passed. The beach was clean, quiet, and BEAUTIFUL. We will absolutely be back!

End of Summer getaway

We had a very nice time during our family summer long weekend getaway. First time to visit the Warren Dunes area and looking forward to coming back soon. We were looking for a relaxing time and it fulfilled our wishes!

Superb!

Fantastic cottage with only steps from the beach & private access to beach. Accommodations were lovely with soft colors & comfy bedding for The bedrooms. Our girls enjoyed having a trundle bed so all 4 could share a room!! Super to have a shed with a wagon & sand toys plus floats!! Will definitely return for more fun!!

Perfect getaway

After a long winter we were glad to spend a few days by the lake. The cottage was spotless, full of light and a great place to relax. The beach is beautiful and just a short walk away.

Home away from home

This was our 2nd time staying here. It was so nice being familiar with the house, beach, and area. House is light and airy, neighborhood great for walks, and we basically had our own beach for the week. All was wonderful.

Just the retreat we needed!

What a nurturing place! Cozy Retreat is immaculately clean, comfortable beds, and a well stocked “cooks kitchen“. The hot tub is just steps out the back door and was lovely during the cool Michigan evenings. Already looking forward to going back!

My wife and two kids, 4 and 6, spent a wonderful week at this lovely cottage. The house overall was very nice with plenty of space for us all. The only minor improvement would be a more thorough cleaning of the house.

Good Times in Lakeside MI

The 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cottage. The house was wonderful and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and the storage shed was loaded with great beach toys. We enjoyed cooking, kayaking, biking, beaching and golfing. We will return next summer. Thank you to our hosts for a terrific stay!

This was a perfect rental for our family for Christmas weekend!!!

The booking and rental process was very easy and the host did a great job of communicating prior to our visit. The property was very clean, well furnished, and was perfect for our family (parents and 3 teenage children) for Christmas! We had a couple of minor issues during our stay but the owners quickly replied to our messages and took care of things. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to do so again sometime soon!!!

Beautiful beach home! The decor and colors are soothing and relaxing! The house is extremely well stocked! The landscape was beautiful and hot tub was wonderful. Beach was about 5 min walk with toddlers. Check in/check out process was smooth and simple. Highly recommend!

Wonderful house, close to the beach.

This is a beautiful house, about a block and down some stairs from the beach. Janette provided all the beach gear we could want plus more. There were six of us, 5 adults +1 three year old. We were very comfortable and had plenty of room.

Everything was wonderful!

We had a great stay at the Cozy Cottage. The home is stocked with everything you could possibly need! We had plenty of space (Me, my husband, and 3 & 5 year old boys) to relax and enjoy Lakeside. The beach was a quick walk down the road and then about 25 steps down. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed, plus a garage full of fun toys and chairs, etc for the beach. I already want to come back next summer!

Beautiful spacious house super close to the beach!

We were so pleasantly surprised with Janette’s house. The photos don’t do it justice! There are 3 spacious bedrooms, a spacious living room with fireplace, lovely kitchen, and dining area. Plenty of room! Quick walk down to the beach and amazing outdoor hottub for the evenings! Will definitely be back here soon!

Amazing house and beach!!

Janette was an amazing host! Her house is beautiful - a perfect beach oasis. It was open and airy, impeccably clean, had so many amenities (hot tub, tons of beach equipment, full kitchen supplies, comfy beds, plentiful towels, cute patio and porch, etc). We loved it! Labor day getaway

The house was perfect!! Well decorated. Very clean esp bathrooms!! Fully stocked with all you need. Games for raining or lazy day inside. Hot tub was an added bonus! Very close to beach access and owner was easily reached for a question! Would recommend this house. Thank you!!

COZY!

Our group has a long history of enjoying Michigan beach vacations and the Cozy exceeded our expectations. Location can't be beat, house is truly cozy and host goes out of her way to make renters feel comfortable including much appreciated essentials. Who forgets coffee?! US, but host had plenty on hand to get us through until visited store. We have many reasons to love Michigan and the Cozy has been added to that extensive list!

Wonderful get-away

Cozy cottage was the perfect get away for our family. We have a 6 yo, 13yo and 15yo, they each enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace and walks on the beach. Janette is a kind and attentive host. She even sent me a greeting on Thanksgiving day while we were there which I though was very sweet. The house was clean, bright, extremely comfortable (in fact, my teens want to know where the couch is from 🤣). All the amenities you’ll need. I’ll need to remember this for the warmer months. The Perfect Harbor Country Cottage

This was our third stay at The Cozy Cottage in Lakeside. We love this home - beautifully, beach-ily decorated, comfortable and welcoming! It was spotlessly clean when we arrived with chocolates, wine and flowers to greet us. The house is fully stocked with everything you might need except your swimsuit! :) We love how many beach toys are in the shed and the easy 5 minute (if that) walk to a beautiful beach. Owners are very responsive with any issues that come up. The cottage really shows their pride in ownership. We highly recommend this cottage for a visit to Lake Michigan and are looking forward to stay number 4 again soon!!

Loved this home so much!!

My 9 year old son and I just got back from a last minute, mid-week spring get-a-way to the Cozy Cottage in Lakeside. My extended family and I have been renting homes in Harbor Country for the last several years, and this home is my new favorite. I knew it would be cute based on the photos, but the home truly exceeded my expectations. First of all, the host, Janette, was very responsive and accommodating to my last minute booking. When we arrived, the home was immaculate, warm and welcoming with a jar of chocolates waiting for us. The home is beautifully decorated in a lovely beach cottage theme. We felt right at home and very comfortable. The home is more spacious than I expected, and the beds and couch are very comfy. The home offers so much - a great front porch, an awesome screened in porch (with comfortable furniture too! We used this room the most), a nice sized front yard for kids to play in, and it has the perfect location -- a block from a small, but beautiful, private beach. Even though it was early April, we got lucky with an 80 degree day (and we went to the beach the next day too which was 60 and rainy... we still had fun!). It is also just a few minutes drive to Whistle Stop cafe, Union Pier shops and an easy drive to New Buffalo restaurants. The other thing that really stood out to me was how well stocked the home was from the kitchen, linens, to the shed full of beach supplies. You can tell the hosts put so much thought into ensuring their guests have a wonderful, relaxing, carefree time. I would highly recommend this home and will plan to rent again. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer due to my son's sports activities. Thank you Janette and family for renting your beautiful home to us.

I am very picky and always afraid of getting a place that isn't as advertised. This house and Janette far exceeded expectations. Everything was VERY clean! It is one of the first rentals I didn't feel the need to clean again when I arrived. Comfortable beds. Easy walk to beach. Everything you need for a awesome week at the beach. Will definitely stay again.
