Come unwind in this 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home that is less than 90 minutes from Chicago in the lovely town of New Buffalo, MI for a wonderful vacation getaway.

Our vacation home is located within blocks of the shops and restaurants in downtown New Buffalo and close enough to stroll to the beach where you can enjoy beautiful Lake Michigan or a breathtaking sunset. Our cottage is located on Merchant Street with reserved parking in the alley behind and ample street parking immediately outside the front door! The private heated community pool is also less than a block away if you want to cool off. A 7 person hot tub was just installer in November 2024! The areas wineries, breweries and distilleries are just a short drive away for a wonderful weekend of touring and tasting Harbor Country's best. Our home is also in the perfect location to cheer on the Irish at all the Notre Dame home games in South Bend, IN, which is less than 45 minutes away. The house has a wonderful layout that allows visitors to spread out over three floors, with bedrooms and bathrooms located on every level.

The 1st floor offers a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, modern commercial grade stainless steel appliances and all the supplies you need to prepare a gourmet meal. Our dining room has comfortable seating for 8 to 10 at the reclaimed barnwood farmhouse table with extra bar seating for three at the island. If you are traveling with little ones, we have a high chair, booster seat and kid friendly dishes and silverware. The kitchen and dining area open to the family room, where you can kick your feet up by the gas fireplace or relax by watching your favorite cable television show on our Smart TV, that is equipped with cable, Disney+, Netflix and Amazon Prime. After your long day enjoying Harbor Country, enjoy some good conversation with your guests on the back patio or catch up on your favorite book under the twinkling lights on the rear screened-in porch. There is also additional space in the finished basement on the sectional for guests to stream a movie, watch their favorite cable sporting event or pop in a DVD.

When it it is time get a good night's rest for another day in Harbor Country, stretch out in the first floor master bedroom, which has a KING size bed and on suite full bathroom with a step-in tub/shower. Or head upstairs, where you can sleep beneath the stars, under the skylights of course, in one of the two second floor bedrooms. The first bedroom on the second floor has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has two twin size beds, a queen size bed and a full-size portable crib. The upper level bedrooms boast large closets with ample space for all your belongings. Guests staying on the second floor will have their own full bathroom with a pebble shower. Other guests can head downstairs to get some rest, where they can sleep in one of two bedrooms. The lower level of our home has one bedroom with a queen size bed and reach-in closet and a second bedroom that sleeps four on two sets of twin size bunk beds. All guests staying on the lower level have their own full bathroom with a walk-in penny tiled shower and double vanity.

If you are looking to spend the day at the beach, gather up some of the beach chairs, beach umbrella, wagon and beach toys and head less than a mile away to the New Buffalo Public Beach. If you are traveling with little ones, we have a double jogging stroller, high chair, pack and play, full size crib, booster seat, double bike trailer and some beach/pool toys available for your use so that our littlest guests can make their own memories.
