Location, Style and Value - The north end is arguably the best Location on the ranch for visitors! It's closest to the town of Gualala with it's shops, markets and eating/drinking establishments. Originally built for an empty nest couple, The Bluffs at Sea Ranch is perhaps the perfect place for a loving couple to reignite their passion. The professionally designed interior is fresh, light-filled and private featuring our signature look with antiques and contemporary furnishings in a modern playful mix. You will appreciate the high quality bedding, pillows and comforters, an updated kitchen with commercial stainless steel appliances, Master Chef cookware, Wusthof knives and all the goodies. Separate laundry, viewing deck, covered patio, private fenced yard, and inviting Jacuzzi spa with views of the Pacific round out the ample amenities.

The two-level master suite encompasses the majority of the second floor. Lounge with your favorite book on the 9-foot window seat and enjoy seasonal whitewater ocean views and glorious sunsets. Then step down to the spacious bath area for a sumptuous soak with the sounds of the crashing waves to help sooth away your worries. The massive California king size bed invites restful slumber with a super high-end Aireloom 'Super Feather Bed' mattress. The second bedroom is located on the ground floor and has access to its own private garden and patio. It's cozy and comfortable and great for extra guests. In addition, on the second floor, is a lofted niche with a full size bed that looks out upon the Sea Ranch Golf Links and acres of natural land on one side and the ocean on the other. The perfect place to escape from someone who snores!

With panoramic ocean views from nearly every window, and acres of wilderness to the east the property is adjacent to Gualala Point Regional Park and the town of Gualala the convenience and walk-ability are unsurpassed. The bluff trail along the ocean side of the property serves as your gateway to the great blue Pacific.

Designed and sited to take advantage passive heating and cooling from Mother Nature, you'll enjoy soothing benefits of radiant floor heating with no drying forced air to stuff up your sinuses.

Again, pets are not allowed - please don't ask. If unauthorized pets are brought onto the property, a minimum fee of $500 will be charged for extra cleaning.

About the Ranch -
All Sea Ranch roads, most facilities, and most trails are private, for use only by owners, renters, and their guests, but visitors who rent our vacation home in the Sea Ranch are considered to be guests of the home owner and, as such, are permitted to use the private facilities and trails of The Sea Ranch. This property is not set up for abalone diving.

Our stay at the Bluffs was fantastic. The house is ideal, and well stocked with everything you would need. It is a perfect location for wildlife viewing! Foxy visited several times and on the last day we spotted a whale breaching. There is excellent access to the trails and the Sonoma County park to the north. We had dinner one night at the Sea Ranch lodge restaurant and the food was excellent. We drove up on Friday and stopped at the Stewart Point Store for a warm up pizza. The pizza is only available on Friday, but was perfect for our dinner.

Beautiful location, amazing home

We just got back from a trip to Sea Ranch. This was our third time staying up there, and our favorite rental! The home is stunning with views of the ocean from almost every angle. I have rented many vacation homes over the years, and this had the best kitchen ever! Clean, organized, and well stocked with all of the equipment you need! I even baked a birthday cake. Just a wonderful stay! We can't wait to come back again. Thank you!

Great home with a great view

We had such a peaceful and wonderful time at this beautiful home. The views are spectacular and you can hear the sea from the deck. The hot tub was nice and hot and also has a view of the sea with the gate open. The home is decorated with class and style. The walking path along the coast is easily accessible and we went for beautiful walks every day. I highly recommend this home!

Very nice location

The house was perfect for our needs. Very close to Gualala which is nice for picking up groceries. Nice unobstructed meadow view of the ocean. A little bit older house than I’ve rented before at Sea Ranch but clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Best we've stayed in at Sea Ranch

We've stayed at Sea Ranch on and off for 20 years, and when you put it all together, this property tops all the others.It's beautifully designed, fully equipped, and has furnishings more akin to a high-end resort than a beach rental. The attention to detail is impeccable.You have an unobstructed view of the ocean from multiple windows and seating areas throughout the home. You're steps from the Bluff Trail.You're about as close to Gualala as you can get, for quick grocery trips and dining options.

The Bluffs

We have always loved Sea Ranch and this was our first time at the Bluffs. Great location. We would have liked screens on the downstairs windows so we could let in fresh air and not let in insects or perhaps even wildlife. We were surprised there was no inside exhaust for stove. All in all lovely.

Smell the Sea and feel the sky…

An absolutely gorgeous house where we enjoyed nature at it’s most powerful. The Bluffs, with fantastic ocean views, has all the amenities for a very comfortable getaway, including a backup electric system. We very much appreciated this during the Atmospheric River storm. A bird’s eye view to the ever changing Pacific and Mother Nature…breathtaking. John is an attentive and communicative host. We look forward to returning in the future. Many thanks.

Beautiful home

Excellent location, the home is fully equipped with everything one could need. Kitchen is fully stocked with top quality cookware and every utensil needed to make a chef feel right at home. Beds are very comfortable. Hot tub well maintained. Beautiful garden. Excellent privacy. The bluffs, beach, walking trails just outside the backdoor. Deer, hummingbirds, sea lions, whales, all just steps away. The sound of the ocean. Amazing property. Thanks again for our stay!

Difficult weather but a good residence

Rain and wind prevailed, but the views are great and a few short walks were possible. Only suggestion is to take some of the gear off of the key. It was almost impossible to cram it back into the lock box. Lovely place. Thanks.

A Week at The Bluffs

We spent a very enjoyable week here. This was our first time to visit Sea Ranch. Property was very clean on check-in. Plenty of linens were available. Beds were very comfortable. Ocean views from every room in the house were wonderful. Even in the mirror of the master bathroom! The kitchen was well equipped. No need to bring any dishes, pans, knives, etc., from home. Large capacity washer and dryer was nice to have. Property included a very comfortable, well landscaped, enclosed patio. Location is excellent. Stores in Gualala are minutes away. Access to major trails is only yards from the patio door. We were able to step outside to the Bluffs Trail and watch the sunset every evening. In summary, we had a very comfortable and relaxing week at The Bluffs.

Good, but with important limitations

This well maintained property is about 100 yards from the cliff and is very good for a couple, or a family with one older child. The master bedroom suite is lovely and the loft sleeping area is very serviceable. If there is a second couple however, the disparity between the bedrooms is stark. The downstairs bedroom is cramped and inconvenient. Guests must store luggage and hang their clothes in the hallway and walk 20-plus feet through a laundry room to reach a bathroom that, though spacious, has no counter area for sundries, or hooks for hanging towels or clothes. We enjoyed the decor, but some might find it a little cluttered. The most annoying aspect of the stay was having to haul off and dispose of our own garbage and recycling.

Are you kidding?

Well I guess first I will qualify myself as well. I have been renting at The Sea Ranch for well over 25 years. I am never interested in the urbane when we are at the Ranch so I am mystified at the complaint of there being no DVD access, if it hadn't been Bowl season we wouldn't have turned on the TV which had so many stations that it was not possible to sift through them all. The kitchen? I am not a chef, but I am an outrageously good cook, so good that I always travel with my own essentials as I grew weary of arriving at places with Wallmart cuttlery & cookware. I never even opened my valise. The people who think that 25 years of renting at the Ranch allows them to place the Bluffs in the eat out or eat simply category have simply revealed to me that they can't really cook. You don't even want to hear the menu for our 1 week stay where we never ate out or simply. I do have Verizon service and the service was perfect as usual, it even allowed us unlimited and easy access to the net with much better service than the Y-fi. Anyone who has been here repeatedly understands that you want to be close to but not on the trail, to be able to hear the sounds of the surf all night, and to have a reasonable access to a beach. This is a triple crown especially with the size allowing this to be so affordable. We had the serendipitous pleasure of meeting John while there and he is the kind of person whom you do want to rent from. Go here, but not until after I book my own stay!

This is such a beautiful house. We all slept soundly and comfortably in the cozy beds. The kitchen is top-notch. We cooked almost all our meals on the excellent stove. Loved kicking back in the chairs out back, spending memorable hours watching the whales, and oohing and aaahing over the vivid sunsets and the starry skies. A great place to visit, and hard to leave.

A wonderful home

We had a fantastic Sea Ranch vacation and loved this home. A great kitchen, a million dollar view of the ocean, and interesting antiques. We hiked every day: the Bluff Trail to the Gualala regional park, the Salal trail down to the Bluff Trail, the Sag Pond and Monarch glen trail (parked at One-Eyed Jacks for the Monarch trail. Also visited the Gualala arts center in the redwoods. We would love to stay here again on a future trip.

Beautiful, peaceful stay at The Bluffs at Sea Ranch

We loved our stay at this home in Sea Ranch. It was exactly as advertised—clean, comfortable, stylish and well-furnished with everything we needed. The location was perfect, tucked away near the northern end of the Bluff Trail, offering both privacy and the stunning coastal scenery. The house and area are incredibly quiet, making it an ideal spot to unwind. We also enjoyed the hot tub and garden. Overall, a fantastic stay—we would definitely return!

With real world experience as the founder and principal of Carciofi and Jinglehyme, he successfully united residential real estate development and interior design; bringing revitalization to local neighborhoods and blighted historic properties through thoughtful renovation and redevelopment. John is the 2014 Winner of the Historic Preservation award for the city of Pasadena. He also owns and manages short term vacation rentals in Pasadena, San Diego, Santa Rosa, Culver City and the Sea Ranch.

John's prior tenure in the marketing and communications wing of the global institutional investing giant The Capital Group Companies, allowed him to develop broad knowledge of printed and digital media. With this knowledge, he has developed sophisticated marketing tools and programs for selling homes in all economic climates.

A long term resident of the Arroyo, John currently resides in Linda Vista and has had stake in properties located in Prospect Park, San Rafael, South Orange Grove, South Lake, Eagle Rock, The Sea Ranch and San Diego's East Village, Culver City and Santa Rosa. He is an active member Pasadena Heritage and The Legacy Circle, a group of Art Center alumni dedicated to raising funds for student scholarships.
