Situated north of Route 6A in West Barnstable, this estate owned by an architect features striking architectural design, stunning views of Sandy Neck, a heated in-ground pool, and accommodations for up to 14 guests across two houses and seven bedrooms. Both homes on the property have been modernized. The main house, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, includes hardwood floors throughout, granite countertops, newer appliances, ample living space, central A/C, and four full baths. The main house has three bedrooms—one with a King, one with a Queen, and one with twins—as well as a lower-level apartment with a fourth bedroom containing two twin beds. The apartment includes a kitchenette and a living area with a TV, but is accessible only through an exterior entrance, separate from the main house. The main house features a loft accessed by stairs from the living area, furnished with a 50” flat-screen TV. Wireless internet is available. The heated pool is situated adjacent to the main house, overlooking a large yard with distant views of Sandy Neck.

The smaller house called the "Carriage House" (3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths) is located about 250 feet across the lawn and features a 3rd full kitchen. The three bedrooms are upstairs, along with the full bath. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds, and the third has twin beds. You also have the best views of the tidal marsh and distant Cape Cod Bay from the covered deck. There is a half bath on the main level, along with another living area and a TV.

There are two laundry areas, one in the main house and one in the carriage house. The pool area features a deck with dining tables and a gas grill for poolside cooking. Both homes have covered porches to escape the summer sun.

There is a third building on the property that is not intended for guest use. The owner uses that space for personal purposes.

An ideal estate for large and multi-generational groups to spend time together and have enough space to spread out to enjoy this idyllic Cape setting.

The property is a short drive from Sandy Neck Beach (about 10 minutes) and from many south-side beaches, such as Craigville Beach in Centerville and Kalmus Beach in Hyannis. The Cape's most significant commercial area is a 5-10-minute drive away and offers major shopping and numerous restaurant options.

Beautiful Property and overall well maintained. Had a couple of minor issues during which were dealt with immediately. Would have appreciated an outdoor shower but all in all felt very positive. Would definitely stay there again. Perfect for a large family.

Great multi-family vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed the property, especially the pool! The kids loved all of the outdoor space to run and play. The porch was a quite, relaxing place to sit and read or have a drink. West Barnstable is a great location - we were easily able to get to Falmouth, Chatham, and Mashpee (all about a 30 min drive).

Our experience at this property was amazing! The house was beautiful and exactly as pictured, and the carriage house is an added bonus! The heated pool was amazing for us, as we were staying at the house on a chilly weekend in June. The property management company was also incredibly kind and communicated with us well!

Wedding weekend

Despite the weather not being great because of Hurricane Lee, we had a wonderful stay in Barnstable. The house was very comfortable and welcoming. Communication with the owner was seamless and easy. I would definitely recommend this property!

Family vacation

Every year our entire family vacations together for a week near or on a beach. We are all in agreement that this was our best year! The property was fantastic and having a pool was great for the kids and adults- would highly recommend this property and loved working with the pretty picky group!

Great spacious property

We had a family holiday here with ages ranging from 16 months to 91. The space was perfect for us all with the two houses and also the apartment. Huge garden with lovely views. Very well stocked. Lovely heated pool with plenty of equipment for the children. Very safe, quiet location. Highly recommend.

Magic for extended family

Place was terrific. View of the marsh was so special as were the grounds and the pool. The two main houses were ideal. The apartment could use a little updating but the team is very on top of any issues. Only challenge is the two houses are pretty far apart, which just meant if a baby is sleeping in one house, adults need to be with them and can't gather in the other house. But for families with older kids, or adults, this is perfection.

Great family vacation

We loved this property. The two homes accommodated our large family nicely. Both houses were beautiful and clean. The property was quiet and peaceful with a great view. The only complaint I have is that the pool’s water level dropped daily. Still swimable but we had to fill it using the hose.

Mostly great place

A truly gorgeous property and neighborhood. Lovely guest house but very little true living space for one big group in main home. Loft area was fantastic for overflow of hanging out but without it, it would have been very challenging. The pool was clean and nice but the seating around pool could use some updating and better dining furnishings for a large group. My only true concern with the rental was the ground level apartment in the main house. It was run down and felt like an old motel that needed attention. Stains on rug, towel bar missing from bathroom wall as if it was ripped off, plastic shades in bedroom missing pieces, an overall musty smell that was hard to feel relaxed in that space.

The property and houses were beautiful. The location was perfect..

We enjoyed the pool very much. The strainer to clean the pool was broken, making it difficult to use. The pool needed cleaning every time we went in because it was full of bugs. The cleaning staff didn't take things out of the dryer , so we had no dish towels or bath mats until we figured it out. Pieces are missing from most of the games, making them useless .

Fabulous house perfect for large families

Pre-covid my mother in law would rent a large house in Dennis but this house was sold and not available for rent. We saw this listing and it looked large enough to fit my husbands family and had the added bonus of the pool for people who are not crazy about the beach. The house was fabulous and the listing accurately reflected all amenities. Only negative which in no way reflects on the house is the green heads back by the pool could be annoying at times. This was the 2nd week in July and we had heard it was a little early for them. Otherwise we had a fantastic week here!

Almost Paradise

Pros - In so many ways this property was great for us. We had a diverse multi-generational gathering. The separate apartment was great for my 80 yr old mother that gave her privacy. The carriage house was great as my husband needed to work much of the week and had a quiet space. While the two children really loved the pool. There were 11 of us and there was plenty of room to spread out and come together. We had a couple of issues - broken coffee pot, dishwasher and it was taken care of quickly. Cons - there is minimal pantry or cupboard space to store food in the main house. The appliances in general need to be updated - especially washers and dryers. With a large group, children and a pool laundry gets done more than you might expect on vacation. There are chores despite cleaning fee. At the price point of this property we were expecting dish soap, and paper goods would be included. Also be prepared for "soft selling" of the management company. They plug their real estate services in all communications and leave brochures in the property. Overall we had a lovely time and it's a lovely property. I'm giving it a 4 because for this price point the details didn't meet expectations.

Wonderful Vacation

We rented this property for my mother's 95th birthday. The property was absolutely beautiful. There was ample room for the whole family including quiet spaces and spaces for children to play games. Bedrooms and beds were comfortable. My family was able to use the open outdoor space for croquet, kickball, and capture the flag. The pool was the hit of our vacation. Our group ranged from 9 years old to 95 years old. We enjoyed the pool all day. My mother and sister live in West Dennis. My mother does not travel a lot, however, she enjoyed the property so much she came back the next morning and spent the whole day again. We would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful Home (s)

The property was absolutely beautiful and just as pictured. The houses were both clean, with ample seating throughout. The pool is heated and clean, so much fun! I would recommend this home to anyone! The following should be noted though, not dealbreakers, just little details that made our stay a little stressful: -Air conditioning: The central AC on the main house does not reach the bedrooms nor are there fans provided. It wasn't terribly hot because we went in very early summer, but in July/August those rooms might be uncomfortable -Linens: there are no additional linens aside from what's on the beds -Stove - the stove on the main house is useless, the burners could barely boil a small pot of water, had to cook in the basement apartment -Kitchen - there is no space in any of the cabinets to put your groceries, spices etc. There was one small cabinet up high, above the oven, which was hard to get to by an average sized person.

Family Summer Vacation

My family, including grown children and grandchildren, started our 2013 summer by spending a wonderful week in this beautiful home on the Mid Cape. The home is beautiful, exactly how it looks in the photos. It is located in a very peaceful, quiet location at the end of a dead end street. Off in the distance you can see the ocean. It is minutes from Sandy Neck beach, which is a wonderful beach. We enjoyed beautiful weather and used the pool daily, the kids enjoyed it. Location was great, within minutes of many of the Cape's scenic towns. The only reason I did not give this home 5 stars was the response of the realtor/owner when we had questions or were looking for passwords to Internet, etc. Those questions took a couple of days to receive a response, other than that, it was a beautiful home and I would highly recommend it to families or couples looking for a peaceful cape vacation
