This place was a little gem we had no idea was going to be so beautiful. The view from the location was absolutely stunning!. The host were very friendly. And the whole place was absolutely amazing, cute, clean, and everything you ever needed, including a welcome bottle of wine! Thank you.! we loved it and would come again. We highly recommend it!

I can't say enough good things about this property. Our hosts, Fred and Pauline were just awesome. And the property is beyond what we were expecting.Clean, abundant supplies, convenient, beautiful view. Just amazing. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Such a great spot! Had everything we needed, comfortable, nice layout. The beds were comfortable and the private yard a great perk. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience the amazing view as we were fogged in, but the lights through the fog and the foghorn in the distance made it a pretty great experience. Hosts were welcoming and provided all the information about the place and the area we needed. Looking forward to coming back and spending a week at Hillside View next time. Great area and convenient to all there is to do on the peninsula.

The property was clean, welcoming, and our dog, Darby, loved his stay. Fred and Pauline went above and beyond to help us out when our truck broke down. We highly recommend Fred and Pauline’s VRBO. Hope to be back again.

The place is charming, has a spectacular view, and is well-situated for exploring the whole area. Most importantly, Pauline and Fred were The Very Best VRBO hosts we encountered during our month-long stay in Newfoundland. Pauline met us when we first arrived, showed us how everything worked, and was immediately responsive when we had a (minor and easily-solved) issue with the wifi. They have been very thoughtful about what guests need--or might need--and the attention to detail was so appreciated. We spent 4 nights at their place, which was not nearly long enough. We will be back!!

Nothing but excellent. If you've traveled through the smaller hamlets of Newfoundland you'll know that every option for accommodation involves a very local feel and flavor. This darling little cottage made us feel incredibly at home and well provided for, plus the view of the glowing fog in the morning could not be beat. Nothing is fancy in Newfoundland- that's not why anyone comes here. But we felt so happy to be here and honestly wished we'd arrived earlier in the day so that we could have enjoyed it for longer. Highly recommend especially for longer stays as it is will equipped and so warm and inviting it was incredibly hard to leave!
