Everything was lovely! The coffee options were exceptional, wonderful shower, friendly walkable neighborhood and right across the street from a huge park with visitor center. Izzy’s recommendations for lunch were spot on and greatly appreciated.
I had a great time staying at this property, which was well-situated for my needs, well-furnished and clean. I'm an anxious traveller and so particularly appreciated how easy it was to communicate with the hosts, who were very responsive and keen to help. Will certainly stay here again if I need to return to Louisville!
Had a wonderful stay right across from a gorgeous park. The he was beautifully decorated and the hosts added a lot of extra touches. I would highly recommend
This is one of the best stays we have ever had in a short term rental. Gorgeously decorated and stocked with everything we needed. The hosts made everything easy and communication was great. The neighborhood is gorgeous! We would stay here again.
Super clean and organized accommodation, in a lovely area. The design is amazing, the shower outstanding, beds and pillows are really comfortable. This was the perfect place to enjoy a long weekend in Louisville - the location was a few minutes from so many fun restaurants, and distilleries, and especially the Conrad/Caldwell House Museum (just steps from the front door) stay here for a laid back vibe and experience historic old Louisville in all it's glory.
This flat is so lovely! It’s clean, comfortable and convenient. We loved having this as our home base while we explored the cool city of Louisville. We would definitely choose this vrbo again for our next trip to Louisville.
The flat is located in a perfect spot - very walkable if you don’t mind walking places (we love to walk!). We stayed here while doing parts of the bourbon trail and it was great. The hosts we’re great and communication was easy! Cute place.
We enjoyed our stay and will stay again next time we are in town. The host has thought of every thing and truly pays attention to detail. It was an amazing experience.
We loved everything about this flat! It's very well-appointed, and perfect for couples. The quaint, lovely neighborhood offers the perfect getaway spot for those visiting Louisville. The owners thought of all the extra details to make us comfortable away from home.
If you’re looking for a home full of character, charm, clean and well decorated… this is the place for you. Zero complaints and the location and neighborhood were great! I’d definitely stay here again.
If you love historic districts in cities, this apartment is for you. It is well-appointed and conveniently located to many Louisville attractions. It is especially great if you want to be near the University of Louisville or the downtown distilleries. For us it was a great location to visit relatives off Bardstown Road and in Southern Indiana.
The location for our Bourbon weekend was terrific.
The House Flat is very clean, and modern with a great overlook.
The 2nd Floor Flat is in a good location.
Izzy and Nerissa were fantastic hosts! The flat was clean and well organized, and they thought of details like hair dryers and Qtips, which was so thoughtful. They also respond quickly to messages/questions, which is extremely helpful! Thanks, Izzy & Nerissa!!
Cool space, perfect location across from the park. Comfortable beds and furniture, nicely-stocked kitchen. Quiet and private. Izzy and Nerissa were very responsive and great to talk to—nice recommendations and overall perfect hosts.
And their Oh My Lollies frozen fruit pops are delicious, if you get a chance to try them!
This place gets 5 stars! Perfect location, loved the little park across the street and exploring the historic homes in the area. The house is very pretty inside and has a beautiful little garden in the backyard. Enjoyed watching the birds and sunset from the balcony.
This Old Louisville home is beautiful in a style lovely to this area. The hosts have thought of all needs so it is as if you are staying with your closest friends in their place. The area is Victorian at it's best. Plenty of places to visit are close. Bars, restaurants and Central Park, which is right across the street. All with the character of Old Louisville. Great. Highly recommended.

Why they chose this property

What makes this property unique
Old Louisville in and of itself is a fascinating area. The neighborhood officially contains the largest collection of Victorian houses in North America. The architecture of each individual house in unique and breathtaking. Multiple historical walking tours are available in any season and if you happen to be a history or architecture nerd then there really there is no better place to explore. Third Street which is just a few blocks away is referred to as Millionaires Row because both sides of the street is lined with enormous Victorian Mansions, many of which have been preserved or restored. Central Park hosts concerts, festivals, and theatrical performances throughout the year. The Filson Historical Society is a short walk from the flat and right across the park is where Muhammad Ali was married. If you love culture and history, then you will fall in love with this neighborhood.
The flat itself is in a house that was built in the early 1900's, which means the ceilings are high, the floors are wood and the space is well appointed. It's also located directly across the street from Central Park which was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed for the Vanderbilt Estate and of course the most famous city park of all, Central Park in NYC. The bedroom has beautiful views of the Park. Also the balcony in the back of the flat, overlooking the mature landscaped garden steals the show. To be so centrally located and have such a beautiful, natural place to retreat to once the day is done, is incredibly special.
This property is our only short term rental and we love hosting. We are both well travelled and love welcoming visitors to the city we call home. You are not hosted by a large management company or staying in a place that feels cold or lifeless, as we really strive to make the flat feel cozy, comfortable and unique as the neighborhood itself.
