Great way to experience the Cabot Trail
We loved this property. The cabin was clean and well equipped. The walking trails on the property were wonderful for taking the dog for walks. Great views from the shoreline. The host was available to answer questions or provide information about local attractions.

About the host

Hosted by Jay Rawding

Host profile image
Hi! I’m Jay.

I started Highland Bow & Arrow in 2017 just down the road from the place I call home: Wreck Cove! In October 2019, I took over Wreck Cove Wilderness cabins from a previous owner who operated for 23 years. I rent two cabins year-round and I live on site to help with anything I can. I teach archery all summer and fall (June until December) and tend to the cabins all winter.

I offer regular practice targets, 3D trail tours, and I love to host events related to foraging, nature, archery and leisure. Event lists can be found on my website.

Why they chose this property

The greatest thing I can offer my guests is peace. I have 28 acres with my two cats and two cabins, rarely are guests sharing this grand space with many others. My trails are my pride and joy and I have a network of interesting hikes on the property all bordering the ocean. Wreck Cove is made up of spectacular cliffs, so the views are amazing.

What makes this property unique

Frequented by very few people at a time, making this a very peaceful place to explore and enjoy. Along the ocean and directly on the Cabot Trail, 20km from Cape Smokey Ski Resort / gondola and Ingonish.
