About this property

See Downeast Maine and Acadia National Park and stay in the Hummingbird!

Stay in our cozy camper five minutes from the Schoodic area of Acadia National Park where you can drive the Schoodic Loop Road with spectacular views of the rugged coastline and islands. Hike or bike the trails, enjoy wildlife watching or fishing as well.

At the southern tip of Schoodic Peninsula is Schoodic Point, quite possibly the prettiest spot in all of Acadia National Park. And since it's located in the Schoodic portion of one of the most visited national parks in the US, it only sees about 10% of the tourist traffic the main area of the park on Mt. Desert Island sees.

Why they chose this property

You'll stay in our adorable 20-foot travel trailer with all the comforts of home: stocked kitchen with gas burners, convection microwave and refrigerator/freezer plus pantry space, full bath, and queen bed. Bluetooth stereo inside and out. Outside is an awning and seating for al fresco dining. Roast on our firepit, rinse off with the outdoor shower. While we don't have wifi yet there is a TV in the bedroom area with multiple local channels with lots of programming and a DVD player.

What makes this property unique

In addition to your private piece of the woods, you can walk the grounds of the rows of vegetables or the trails that snake through acres of Christmas trees or hike the woods around the camper. There is a small pond if you care to catch frogs or dip your feet.
Other things to note:
The peninsula features the quieter section of Acadia National Park, but that means no lines, plenty of parking and many places to grab snacks or dine.
