Perfect lake cabin getaway

Loved the cabin and the location was breathtaking. The owner provides paddle boards, kayak and all the essentials you need. 10/10 will definitely be booking again. It rained the whole stay and it was still the most peacful and relaxing place I have stayed at in a long time! Cant wait to try it again soon in some dry weather.

Quiet cabin in the woods with water view

The cabin was everything we were hoping for, simple, secluded and scenic. Perfect getaway, definitely makes us consider giving up our tents in the future!

Great cabin

It's more than one step above camping with the electricity, refrigerator and stove and couch. We were only there a couple nights but got to put the canoe in the lake and take a trip to Schoodic Point. This was my second time staying here and would love to come back again.

Lovely Cabin

Great time exploring the Schoodic Peninsula and Acadia National Park. The views of the pond and the privacy of the cabin make it such a fun vacation. Our dog Balto LOVES to swim and goes crazy when we’ve come here. Such a beautiful location and well maintained cabin

Fabulous private getaway!!

A classic "upta camp" Maine experience. Private location, but a quick trip to eat out or visit coastal areas. Our dogs had a blast being off leash, swimming, running and playing. If you enjoy camping, you’ll love this. Bring all your supplies and enjoy some peace and quiet! We will definitely book again!

Jones Pond Cabin

Great place to use as a base for a few days while exploring Acadia with the family. Very close to the Scoodic side and away from the crowds on Mt Desert Island. Everything was very clean and just as described. Thanks for making this available.

Something out of a movie!

Spectacular views, convenient location, and a super cozy space! Very private, clean, and picturesque. Only downside is that there’s no shower, but we bathed in the lake and it was glorious 😍 Highly recommend this little cabin, and will most certainly be coming back year after year!

Beautiful Spot

So lucky to get a chance to stay here. The booking and all communication was great. We live in the city, so there is a lot of artificial light that you just can not escape. We were able to go out at night and see every star in the sky, and it was absolutely amazing. Very quiet place in November. We would love to experience the summer now.

October getaway

We had just camped for a week and stayed in the cabin for four nights. It was convenient that we had all our camping stuff available. The weather was great and the wood stove came in handy during some cool nights. Got to explore nearby trails, seafood, and did a pleasant tour of the lake, which was very quiet the first week of October. Saw a bald eagle just standing on the shore! The location of the cabin is very convenient for hopping onto Route 1 for day trips.

Wow, gorgeous

We loved our stay here. The cabin was the perfect getaway. It was 100 steps above camping, but rustic enough to get all of the benefits of camping. The water in the pond was warm and clean. We swam and kayaked every day. The breeze kept the bugs away. We met some neighbors while on the pond who were incredibly kind. Other than that, we never saw a soul! Winter harbor was 10 minutes away to get the ferry to Bar Harbor. The ferry was great for sight seeing and the captain and deck hand were incredible. The Schoodic Peninsula was 15-ish minutes away and our favorite part of Acadia. We cannot wait to come back. We feel so lucky to have come to this incredible spot.

Beautiful spot

This is a beautiful location. Quiet. A nice place to reflect. It is camping with some perks. Fridge and microwave are nice and a roof over your head. Interior is very clean. Loved the screened in porch to relax in the evening. Port a potty was clean. The dock wasn’t in the water — wasn’t sure if I was supposed to roll it in and out but didn’t use it. It is about an hour to Acadia. I ended up cutting trip short because of weather so never got to make the drive. But did manage to get down to Schoodic Point which is close by. Neat spot. Grabbed dinner at the Pickled Wrinkle. They allowed dogs. A nice little getaway for me and my dog. Overall a nice spot to visit for a couple of days.

Peace & quiet

My husband, our dog and I had a blast! The property manager Sara was very responsive. The cabin was clean and had a lot of cool features like they had a fishing pole, fridge, stove and sink (but no running water), a clothes line, and even water equipment. We booked 2 nights but was not enough time to fully experience the area and we didn't have enough time to utilize the water toys! Market is not too far, so picking up supplies and food was a breeze. Drive to Acadia National Park was about 45 mins. My husband loved it so much he already wants to drive back up next month (we live an 8 hour drive away)!!!! The only thing that was rough was the drive down the very long driveway. It's not paved and the terrain was a little rough for us since we drove up in a regular size sedan car with only 2 wheel drive... but it was very adventurous!!! 10/10 rating! Definitely recommend! Ps... we brought an inflatable mattress and it was heaven.

Amazing getaway

This is everything we were looking for in a weekend getaway! Very secluded, quiet, and beautiful. The pond is absolutely perfect. The cabin is quaint, even better than the pictures portray. As long as you are prepared and bring water, flashlights, sleeping gear, and cookware you will be golden. Our dogs loved the area to run free and swim. There is a short 76ish foot walk from your car to the cabin. There is full internet service. Just a few small suggestions: since there is a cooking stove and a wood stove, a fire extinguisher should probably be in the cabin (unless there already is one and we just didn’t see it, in which case maybe moved to a more visible spot). Second- some updated photos of the cabin/ property would be helpful as there were a few things already at the cabin that weren’t actually shown in photos.. We brought camp chairs which we didn’t need- there are 4 Adirondack chairs already there. There was at least one paddle board, kayak and a big float there. The final thing is that one of the lightbulbs was out, a box of bulbs under the counter wouldn’t hurt. Again, these are only small improvements. This was an incredible spot!! We loved it so much that we immediately booked another trip for the fall. Thank you Sara!

Like no other place I’ve ever stayed!

This charming cabin on the pond is everything you’re looking for if you love the outdoors, camping, and nature. I have so much positive to say about this location. The neighboring towns; winter harbor and bar harbor are both fantastic and close! Acadia national park is right out of the drive way and there is so much to do outdoors. Enjoying a kayaking session early in the morning and having a relaxing fire watching the sunset was amazing! Things I wish I knew upon booking; 1.) don’t arrive after dark if possible, the driveway is long into the woods and you have to walk a few feet into the woods to get into the cabin. (Nothing bad about it but being unfamiliar with the area made this quite a spooky task!) 2.) the driveway is super long and not paved. If your car struggles with some terrains, being aware of the driveway is a must know. There is a spot in the driveway where it’s very sanding and uneven, so it is easy to lose traction if going too slow. 3.) No curtains, now this wasn’t a big deal at all but something I didn’t even think about! During the evening and morning its luxurious to watch the sunset and sunrise. When it comes to privacy for ex. while changing , it definitely have a vulnerable feel. 4.) If you are planning to bring a blowup mattress for the loft I would recommend bringing one that isn’t too tall. The banister is perfect unless you have a tall blowup mattress. We made it work, but figured I would share! I would definitely stay here again, it provided the sense of camping I was looking for but still gave us a wonderful experience. I loved everything about this property, area, and experience!! 10/10 ❤️

I loved it! I used this as a base camp to go hiking in Acadia NP, and it was perfect for that, but I also could have spent my entire two days at the property and been very content. As it was, I slept deeply on my air mattress in the loft and watched the beautiful sunrises while sitting at the shore and while eating breakfast at the table inside. On the second morning, I also explored the entire lake with the host's canoe. It was quiet and serene, listening to a pair of loons that I was able to see up close while paddling. I took a short, refreshing dip in the clear water of the lake. I was there mid-week in the shoulder season, so maybe I got lucky, but I had the entire lake to myself. If I'd been staying longer, I might have wanted the ability to lock the cabin. I did have an orb weaver spider join me in the port-o-john, but I left it alone and it did me the same courtesy. Really the biggest issue was finding and getting there. Google gave me a location for the address that wasn't even on the correct lane. I arrived after dark and the long driveway and lack of signage made it hard for me to know if I was going the right way or going to end up at someone else's house. I bumped into some tree stumps that were hard to see in the dark. Upon leaving the property, the big SUV I was driving, a VW Atlas Crossfire, had issues with the loose rock and spun its tires going up the small hill close to the road. Overall, I highly recommend it and hope I can return!

Perfect for a rustic, clean, quiet escape. Hear the birds and creatures as you drink your coffee with a perfect lakeside view.Drive down LONG bumpy driveway down to pond. Must walk 100' to get from car to house. There are: electric outlets that work, woodstove, fridge, microwave, sink, windows with screens, sofa, table and chairs, two lamps, firepit, pots and pans, dishpan, coffeemaker, outhouse. I did not test the oven. THERE IS NOT: water on site, heat (other than woodstove), AC, wifi.

This was a great cabin, beautiful views and overall fun experience with the kids. The loft area is a little small for four of us so we ended up sleeping two in the loft and two on the main floor. Prepare yourselves for the mosquitoes! I wish we had more time to kayak, but we did have s'mores at the fire pit and cooked our own lobsters.
