Farmhouse - A private sanctuary
Hayride included with 3 or more nights

This farm house was great for our weekend away. Hosts were very nice and prompt in responding with any questions. Felt like home away from home. Allowed us to visit Chattanooga with the luxury of being in a quiet secluded single family home. Loved it. Would stay again
Loved this place. Located off the beaten track, but still 5 miles from the nearest Walmart and restaurants. Clean, quiet, private. Great place to get away.
Beautiful property, peaceful and off the beaten path! Loved the home and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need! We had younger children with us and we were concerned that there were no tv’s in the bedrooms but they were so tired from running around the property it was no issue! Will definitely stay again and hopefully get to do the hayride!
This farmhouse is a gemstone! We lived our stay, felt secluded enough with convenient ammenties in town. Mellissa was amazing by checking in periodically to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. We definitely are planning a returning trip.
Excellent house for our stay. Everything was clean and orderly. If we’d had more time to stay, I’m sure we’d have enjoyed it more by utilizing the porch dining and fire pit. Well worth what we paid for our stay. Comfort is a must when you bring along the teenagers and even they were satisfied.
This property is exactly as it looks from photos. it is really in the country side with a small lake right next door in a neighbors property (there is a large beaver dam and geese there). A pasture nearby has Highland cows that are super cute. Lots of bird watching as well. The house is perfectly clean and newish looking everything with all kitchen appliances you may need. we used the firepit which was just perfect for evening star gazing without getting cold. The outside screened in porch was great for outdoor meals. During the day its very peaceful and good for quiet time, painting, thinking about why you don't live outside a city! All in all this is a 10!
House was clean and exactly as advertised. We had a great family weekend of hiking and relaxing! Melissa was very responsive and helpful host. Thank you
We always look forward to staying here when we are in the area visiting family. The property is always spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described in the listing. Melissa is very responsive, gracious and thoughtful. The location is perfect—close to everything but still very quiet and relaxing.
We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse. We were traveling with three little boys (2.5, 3, and 5) who loved being able to run around the backyard the night arrived. The next morning, the hosts arrived took us for a hay ride which the boys loved. After a visit to the Creative Discovery museum, we went back to the farmhouse and made Smores in the fire pit.We went to ride Thomas the Train on Sunday morning. The train depot was about 40 minutes from the farmhouse. Walmart was eight minutes away in case you needed anything. The farmhouse itself was clean and inviting. Our only concern was that the steps up to the back door didn't have a safety rail. While it was only four steps, the highest step would have been quite a fall for a little one. The door swung out so you had to back up and get close to the edge of the steps to enter. Other than that, we would love to stay there the next time that we visit Chattanooga.
Our experience with this property and host was amazing. They put effort into ensuring the home and your stay are top notch. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
We loved our stay!! Melissa was fantastic! We loved the home and we loved the location. Great distance from everything and we loved getting to use the fire pit. Definitely recommend!
This property was located very near to my parents house. It provided a great opportunity to get my 2 kids and their significant others all together. Wonderful accommodations and convenient to my parents.

About the host
Hosted by Melissa & Jamey Hulsey
We retired 4 years ago from working in the Atlanta area and wanted to live a rural lifestyle. Our property had 2 homes on it, which gave us the perfect opportunity to share this beautiful place with others. You can not see our residence (or any other neighbors) from the VRBO but we are close enough to bring you a cup of sugar, some farm fresh eggs or anything else you may have forgotten.
Why they chose this property
We love this area because it is so close to Chattanooga, unlimited outdoor activities, and excellent local eateries and still so much natural land. Traffic is getting stuck behind a tractor or waiting for wildlife to cross the road.
What makes this property unique
Once you drive onto the property you will see what makes this place stand out. We searched for the perfect farm to retire at and found it here in Chickamauga. We look forward to sharing our little piece of heaven with you. We have our cottage food license so a fresh baked welcome gift awaits you along with a sparkling clean house.
