A weekend for “the moms”

I invited my mom and future mother in law to come visit and do some wedding shopping. They were both absolutely thrilled from the first step in. All weekend, they both continued to say how perfect this location was for their trip. It provided us with the peaceful quiet evenings, but still enough room for my fiancé and I to join them for breakfast/dinner. Everything was super easy, and communication was always super fast. Overall a fantastic place to get away!

Racing getaway

We have stayed at this location, but this year was under new ownership. They had made several changes to the cottage, and they were great. They added a full size bed to what was a reading nook. They also improved the flooring, and upgraded the bathroom, shower and vanity. The location has always been perfect, and the new changes made it a little more comfortable. We had a great time!!

Deer...

The prettiest piece of property this side of heaven... Very relaxing and so much wildlife. I got several pictures of bucks and few does .. But the coyote was the best.. Highly recommend

My husband and I purchased the cottage in early 2023 as a place for us to visit with two of our grandchildren who live nearby. We love to travel together and look forward to retirement when we will be able to do more traveling. We enjoy camping in our RV and attending bluegrass festivals. We prefer visiting local restaurants and trying new dishes. Be sure to check out our guidebook for local recommendations around the Portland area.

Why they chose this property

We chose the cottage because of our grandchildren, of course. But, the cottage is also within close driving distance to both Nashville, TN and Bowling Green, KY - both of which have some fantastic attractions. The local areas of Portland, TN and Franklin, KY offer guests unique home-town experiences with seasonal festivals and activities.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is a great place to unwind and relax and the sunsets in Portland are the most spectacular in Tennessee. Sometimes we all need to hit the "re-set" button and we think the cottage is the perfect place to do just that.
