Location

The property is right off the main road so it can be noisy and a late night train can prove worthy of white noise if you need it. You can't beat the location if you are interested in visiting Old Fort Parker and Fort Parker state park to reinforce education with primary sources regarding frontier life, native american and african american history, the great depression, the New Deal... You will appreciate the proximity, hot showers and comfortable beds this place offers its guests. It's remote but not so far from civilization you can't grab a bite to eat or supplies but check out the house first, it offers a lot of extras... the kids made use of the snacks and first aid kit came in handy after our hike.

Cozy and Cute

Clean with little extras that we really appreciated like coffee, candy and snacks. Beds were so plush that we didn’t mind the highway noise. Kitchen is small & dining table for two but we didn’t cook there. It was perfect for our family of six. TV’s in every room a plus!

Wonderful Getaway

Nana's place looks just like it did years ago but updated with modern appliances, central air, and all the conveniences needed. Centrally located to many activities in the Waco area (as well as only 1 hour away from Bryan/College Station). We stayed in for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed this lovely home!
