Such an amazing and relaxing spot. It was hard to leave the river and the cozy mountain house. We really feel rejuvenated. Would definitely recommend especially if you want seclusion and relaxation. Thank you Mckenzie house family for sharing your lovely vacation spot!
This was a wonderfully relaxing place, rustic, yet met all our needs. Right next to the river, the sound of the beautiful McKenzie was always present and soothing. The beds were comfy, the kitchen and appliances functional, and the house was clean. Could it use some freshening up? Yes, but it is a rental that probably gets a ton of use and abuse, so understandable that it is kept simple. The hot tub was clean, and plenty of towels are provided. The outdoor shower was wonderful with plenty of hot water. Be aware that cell phone coverage is spotty. There is EV charging a couple miles west down the highway to the west side of the Chevron station ( not a fast charger). Would stay here again.
The house, views and location are great. We will be going back for sure. Perfect for a family with kids or young adults. Bunk room was great addition. Thank you!
Beautiful house and location! We had a blast being with friends and family while enjoying the peacefulness of the secluded house on the river! Host was fast to respond to questions and the house had so many amenities to make our stay wonderful! We will definitely be coming back!
We found the house to be clean, well appointed and situated right in the river. The owner was very responsive and took very good care of us. We look forward to staying there again next year
Highly recommend this property. The house sits right on the river with beautiful views from the deck, living room and hot tub. The grounds are much larger than I thought with plenty of parking and room to play hard games / hang out outside. Also, it's easy walking distance to the McKenzie Bridge general store and restaurant. We loved our stay and will be back!
I don’t think it’s even possible to explain this place in words. This is by far one of the greatest places we’ve stayed. The views and feel are absolutely stunning. My wife and I will 100% be planning a trip back in the future. The river sound will lull you to sleep and make you long for it after leaving. Tim is an excellent host and was super responsive. What an amazing place this is.
Our group was primarily there to play golf at Tokatee. Sitting on the deck right on the river was a great way to end the day. I came up a day early to fish the river. It worked out that Tim got me out on his boat. It's the best way see the river and catch fish! The owners are a great family and very accommodating.
The McKenzie River house is right next to the river and all of its magnificence. Everything inside the house is there for you to enjoy the river and your stay. We are a group of plein air painters and this was our annual retreat. The wide deck above the river was very important to us to set up our easels for the views. The front wooded acreage was an alternate subject for our paintings. The sunshine through the trees beautiful.Tim was so reassuring and attentive, leaving flowers and wine to welcome us. Some of us enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor shower, and river swing. We cooked fabulous meals in the well appointed kitchen. The huge dining table was our gathering place. This was one of our most favorite places to paint outdoors.
