The Newark House is the place to be in NOTL! Great location, directly across the Irish Harp Pub, Balzac’s Coffee Shop, and a half block from Kings Street. The Newark House had all the kitchen, linen, and bathroom amenities for our group of 8. The rear outdoor patio was perfect for dinners and hanging out. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Newark House!

What a great house, perfect location, lovely decor, warm comfy beds and all the conveniences of home. Highly recommended for visitors to NOTL, you can park and pretty much walk everywhere in old town.

The location is perfect. Walking distance to great restaurants and the shops of NOTL. The house is a nice size and so well appointed. They thought of lots of the little details that helped make our trip special. We had a wonderful stay.

Great location close to Queen St with many stores and restaurants near by as well as walking distance to the Shaw Theaters. House was very well maintained and clean. Check in and out instructions clear and we never needed to call for any assistance with the house while we were there There were only two of us and we enjoyed the space but would be ideal place for a family. We loved the modern kitchen and open design of the living room and dining room and bedrooms on the first floor. One of our favorite spots was the front porch where we could watch all the activity on King St. Also, enjoys the quite and private backyard patio

Lovely home

I enjoyed my stay, the house was clean, comfortable and in a good location. A couple of my traveling companions had minor issues about things, but I was completely satisfied and give this home the highest rating.

Girls trip

We had a wonder stay at the Newark house. It was close to everything. Location is perfect and we could walk everywhere, which was great. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. I have to say the front porch was a favorite, we loved sitting on the porch after exploring the various shops. Would highly recommend.

A true gem

The house is tastefully remodeled and clean. Convenient location and walking distance to everything - waterfront, parks, restaurants, pharmacy, supermarket. The backyard grill and dining set are a plus. Property manager is very responsive. Highly recommended.

One of the best vacation homes we’ve rented in NOTL! The location is perfect. The house was both comfortable and meticulously clean. I’m still dreaming of how comfortable those beds were…and I’m a mattress-snob! Our favorite space was the front porch. Our family spent many hours talking together and people-watching on that wonderful porch. The home offers plenty of off street parking - a bonus in NOTL! Already planning our return trip and plan to stay at The Newark House again! Cheers!

A Home for a Stay in NOTL

Newark House is perfectly set up for groups of 6 to 8 with a fully equiped kitchen, comfortable beds and relaxing space indoors and out. The backyard includes both a sitting area outside the master bedroom and a patio with a BBQ and table for 6. There is even a set of colourful plastic dishes which my grandchildren made good use of. The location couldn't be better as you are minutes from Queen Street shops and restaurants as well as the park on the side which has a children's play area.

Sisters Weekend

These accommodations were perfect for me, my two sisters and two sister in laws. Check in was simple. The home was beautiful and clean. The location cannot be beat. I did message Tara, not because there was an issue but because we wanted to know where she got the wonderful bath and body items. She responded quickly and was very helpful. We would definitely return to this home.

Absolutely perfect!!

This property was the perfect spot for our family girl’s trip. We had seven people total (ages 12-71) and there’s was plenty of space (two per room, and one single). The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The location couldn’t be better. The hostess was so attentive and answered emails within minutes. The house was beautifully furnished. We were walking distance to restaurants and shops, and also the lake. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you so much!!

Our family of four and our dog enjoyed a two night stay at the Newark House and will definitely be going again. The property is exactly as described and depicted. Excellent location and ample parking. Very clean and a family friendly layout both inside and outside. Tara, the property manager, has been very helpful and attentive to our comfort and enjoyment. Sitting on the veranda and enjoying the evening community is an excellent way to wind down a busy day. No worries with respect to outside noise; everything goes quiet around 11:00 pm and even before we couldn't really hear the activities of the amazing pub and restaurants across the street with the windows and doors closed. Highly recommend this location! Cheers.

Girls Getaway

I almost have no word for this home it was so amazing. First the checkin and communicate with Tara was seamless. The home was exactly as described…clean, modern, nicely appointed and had lots of little touches that made you feel welcome. The front porch was the fav for a glass of wine or two and great for just enjoying this beautiful little town. All 6 ladies had nothing but fabulous things to say about this home and it’s perfect location. We all certainly would Locke back. Thank you Tara and Newark House…hope to be back soon!
