Piece of heaven
This little cottage was awesome, beautiful inside, screened in porches at front and back of cabin, mountain stream right beside us, nice size fire pit, grounds were awesome, our fur babies love the freedom and the green pasture they could run in, and the stream they could walk in. Nice quiet getaway!

Wonderful, relaxing weekend!
From the moment we walked into the screened-in porch and heard the rushing water so close, I knew I’d spend a lot of time there! Of course, the swing on the back porch was my other favorite spot to relax and read. My husband and I had a wonderful time; and our dog loved all the space to run! The cabin is comfortable and nicely decorated; the host was incredibly helpful and responsive; nice location too, close to Clayton. Overall a 5-star experience!

Peaceful Easy Feeling
Beautiful 3 acre property with lovely views of their creek that will ease away any stress from your life. Quiet, comfortable, close to hiking trails and downtown shopping. From the minute, I entered the property I could feel the peacefulness. The cabin has everything you need. The owners are extremely efficient and accommodating. I’ve rented many times from owners and found this to be one of my favorite experiences. I would highly recommend this property. Downtown Clayton-has wonderful Cuban food and the nearby BBQ was quite good as well! You know you’re on a great vacation when you don’t want to leave!! That was us!! Thank you for sharing your lovely Christmas cabin with us. It was absolutely perfect.

Welcome to our hideaway where it feels you have run away from the world. When we bought our property we never intended to use it for an VRBO. We planned on just bringing our 6 dogs out here and enjoying some peace and quiet while playing with the idea of planting Christmas trees. However, we have always believed if we are blessed with it, we should share it. When we met our co-host and manager, Michelle Edwards, it was a no-brainer. We are able to enjoy our little slice of heaven but still let others enjoy it when we are not here. We included a little bit of history about cabin. Enjoy the peace and quiet while sitting by Warwoman Creek! -The Elmys-

Why they chose this property

There is no better way to start your day than sitting on the screened in porch in the early morning with a warm cup of coffee listening to the creek bubble and splash. Your furry animals will love playing in the creek and running around the 3-acre property. You feel like you away from the crazy world but you are only 10 minutes from Clayton as well as hiking trails and vineyards.

What makes this property unique

History of 109 Black Diamond Road: 109 Black Diamond Road is a 3-plus acre lot along Warwoman Creek in Rabun County, six miles east of Clayton Georgia, and 4 miles due west of the Chattooga River, separating Georgia and South Carolina. The main structure is a log cabin built in 1985, from logs harvested from the local forest. All the construction effort was done on-site to include using a portable Saw Mill to mill the logs. Culver Christmas Trees: The grandfather of the owners of 109 Black Diamond Road, G. Earl Culver purchased several hundred acres of land around Vogel Center, Michigan in the late 1950’s, and began planting Christmas trees soon afterwards. When he died in 1979, his son Don continued the business until he died in 2013. Don’s sole surviving daughter elected not to continue the business. In 2022, we decided to re-start Culver Christmas Trees, at their property on Warwoman Creek, with the idea of planting at least 50 trees a year that would be available for sale when matured. In the Spring of 2022, they planted the first crop of 45 trees in three species; White Pine, Scotch Pine and Colorado Blue Spruce. Within a month of planting, we murdered at least 30 of the trees while trying to learn the intricacies of driving a Zero-Turn lawn mower. Sadly, we have to report that by the end of June only 10-15 trees remained viable. It is hoped that the 2023 crop has a higher survival rate. :-)
