So nice to have a screened in porch! We took advantage of the kayaks provided, had great nature watching (especially the bald eagles), and had a fun time away as a family here. Beds are very comfortable, which is very important!
The cabin was very cozy and clean. They had everything supplied that we needed so we had a comfortable stay. Beautiful location. Overall a peaceful and fun weekend stay! Would definitely return.
We had a very nice visit. The cabin was easy to find, and was perfect for our small group. The screened porch was great for avoiding rain and evening mosquitos while still getting to enjoy the sounds and scenery. Fishing was good, lots of bites. Mostly small fish but we caught a few bigger ones. This was exactly what I was looking for when I booked the trip - a quiet and peaceful lake cabin.
We stayed two nights, and really enjoyed ourselves and the area. We brought along groceries and enjoyed morning coffee and grilled steaks one night for supper. We found all the dishes and utensils needed for our meals. We spent a fair amount of time in the screened in porch. The beds were comfortable and everyone said that they slept well! Nothing fancy, just a nice place to call home for a couple days! I’d definitely recommend it to a friend!
Property was as advertised. Very clean. Did have a bit of musty smell when we first arrived but had a couple of candles burning and smell did not last long. Would suggest to put a small handle in the shower for a little support getting in and out of tub. Had an enjoyable stay.
Nice cabin, lots of extras. Right on the lake. Lots of birds and woodpeckers. Had a problem with heat instructions- when we got there it was rainy and cold. Had to get in touch with Jason. He told us how to turn the heat on after we sat in the cold for four hours! Next 2 days weather was per. Would recommend and would stay again!
It is hidden in the woods with a private dock, a quiet lake, no one else out on it. Enjoyed the wildlife on the lake. Bed very comfy. Did not use kitchen, but it was clean. Stone Lake is a small, but very charming little town just a couple minutes away with everything you could need. Maybe I'm too picky, but stains on carpet, stains on patio furniture pillows were a turn off, it rained one evening and we found the couch to be tired and not very comfortable. It wasnt clear if we were allowed to use the fireplace as a loveseat was in front of it. I think they should remove "rowboat " from the amenities. It is in poor condition and one bench in it is warped with a big hole in it. The kayaks were turned over but had a lot of water in them. Took some time to drain them. All the check out timesonline were 10 am, but then a sign on the fridge said check out at 9am.
Spent almost a week in this lovely, comfortable cabin on a small lake. Enjoyed the screened porch and the “homeyness” of the house. Kitchen was well equipped (although we didn’t cook) and plumbing was good. Beds and pull-out sofa was comfortable. The deck is a bonus, sunshine and water views. Location is great: town of Stone Lake is right down the road.
Watching the sun come up over the lake each morning with a cup of coffee in hand, was breathtakingly beautiful! Bugs were not bad, and I pretty much lived in the screen porch. Town is just a couple of minutes away, excellent coffee shop and Mercantile. I regret not taking the time to fish, will do that next year for sure! Seeing a bear the evening before I left was a bonus treat!
Second time staying at this property. Overall great experience. Had an issue with the boat but did not let that ruin the day. Great property in a beautiful location. Host very receptive and gets back to you right away.
The property was great. The cabin was well stocked. And was a great getaway for our family. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks! The wifi worked great. The adults enjoyed the fire pit and the scenery. The beds were comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again.
We had great luck fishing-6 "keeper" Bass! Recommend taking the kayaks bc the motor on the boat is less than adequate. The constant highway noise is a definite negative-but the location is convenient, the lake is very quiet and the accommodations are comfortable. Appreciate the free (well burning!) firewood! Had a terrible scare on our last night when the next occupant showed up a day early and was trying to get into the cabin!!
