Watch seaturtles hatch in our protected dunes, and take in history at the heratige battle sites of the Civil War and WWII.

4 sets of families stayed a different ocean dunes properties so it was nice that we were all in a relatively walkable distance. The distance to the beach, outdoor pool(s), and fort fisher was nice. As well as the covered parking spot and small place to be able to put jeep doors and top.There is a tide pool right near the access which is great though it does mean you have to watch out for rocks and sometimes harsher waves. The layout and style of the house was great and I definitely got my steps in (there is an elevator) Would stay again for sure!

Our family spent the week exploring Kure Beach and the surrounding areas. We found the rental to be super clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We opted to go to the Fort Fisher beach and took a day trip across the ferry over to Southport. We spent time shopping in Wilmington and back and forth to Carolina Beach for donuts and ice cream! We loved the pool access, perfect way to cool off and spend time close to the rental between all the other activities we got up to. We found the rental to be a perfect landing point and launch pad for our vacation. We had the best time and look forward to returning in the future.

After a busy summer of ball, farm work and running a family business we were able to take a quick 4 night getaway to our favorite place the beach! This place was great! Loved the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo! The back porch is a great size! Very short walk to the beach! The indoor pool was awesome for when the weather was ugly! The owners are very nice and always checked in on us making sure we had everything we needed! The kitchen also had everything you need. Linens were included. Everything was great! Awesome place to stay

My family and I had a great time. The condo was clean, nice and large enough that my family wasn't constantly in each others way. The owner left a welcome basket which I thought was so sweet. The unit has an elevator that awesome especially when we went to the grocery store and didnt have to carry everything up flights of stairs. The beach is just a hop, skip and jump away so you do not miss anything. The pool was great. I would highly recommend this place to others.

We enjoyed our stay at Salt&Flora! The condo is adorable! As my daughter said, boho meets beach meets cottage is the vibe she got! The condo is 2 streets back from the public beach access and is in a very quiet neighborhood! Very close drive to the aquarium, Carolina beach boardwalk and Fort Fisher. Fort Fisher beach was amazing! Free parking and clean bathroom access! Rita and family left a very nice welcome basket for us! Rita is very responsive to questions and quick to help find an answer! It felt very like she was sharing her family home with us and was genuinely invested in us having the best vacation!

We loved everything about the place except the broken elevator, unit is on the third floor, and broken sliding door. The door issue meant we could not use the large outdoor covered deck. The owner informed us of these issues and I asked for a partial refund but the owner refused.

Cozy and Inviting

This condo was definitely described/pictured as is (with updates to the bathroom). It was easy to find and had a wonderful location. It was just steps from the beach but felt secluded within the trees. It was clean when I arrived. I never took advantage of the pool or other amenities but there were always people there so I'm sure it was up to par. Rita was easy to communicate with and very friendly and welcoming. The only "negative" thing I'll say is the elevator was out of service for the duration of my stay but that didn't factor into my rating as that stuff happens; it really only "affected" me on my arrival date and only because I'm a heavy packer. Haha! Rita was apologetic and I was completely understanding. I would stay here again with no hesitation! Thanks for a great stay!

Cute Condo, Owner is great

Very cute condo with boho vibes and comfy bed. Very short, easy walk to the beach. I gave it 5 stars because the owner was very responsive to some setbacks that occurred while we were there. The elevator was not working, but that was not her fault. However, that is one main reason we chose this condo so we were disappointed. There was a problem with both doors in the home. A repair person had to come while we were there to work on the sliding door that they were having to have fixed from the previous occupants. And the electronic key on the front door decided to break so we were locked out for over an hour after buying a car load of groceries. She quickly responded and a lock smith fixed the issue. Again, all of these issues were beyond her control, so I do not fault her for them. One very small thing...there were only 5 forks in the kitchen drawer, which was kind of out of the ordinary. We had to buy plastic forks so we didn't have to wash them constantly. But, the kitchen had about everything else we needed, except for a toaster. I liked that we could park under cover under the building. And we rode bikes to Fort Fisher State Park, which is minutes away. The kids liked all the rocks to climb on. Overall, our family enjoyed our vacay very much.

What makes this property unique

This property is accessible. It is the only condo building on the entire island with elevator access. Salt & Flora is on the 3rd floor, accessible by stairs or elevator and comes with 2 car parking in the private bay, along with semi-private beach access, guest parking, and some beach equipment. All bed linens, and towels, soaps and shampoo are provided. - (2 per guest). We also provide a local wine selection to choose from, for our guests 21 and older, as well as premium local whole bean coffee, kuerig and loose leaf hot or iced tea selection!
