Historic 307-year-old home, newly and lovingly-refurbished. Spacious open-plan and sunny living area. Large main bedroom. Light-filled office (with pull-out sofa) that opens to secluded patio and beautiful garden. Perfect writers' retreat; in the 1850s, this was home to William Ticknor, publisher of Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter and founder of The Atlantic Magazine. First floor, ADA accessible bathroom.
We love our neighborhood. Filled with history, the energy of new cafes and restaurants, and urban nature at its best. Less than a ten minute walk to the Arnold Arboretum and Jamaica Pond, perfect for walks, bike rides, and nature exploration.
Free on-street parking and free public lot less than one block away. The 39 bus to Longwood is at the end of the street, and the Orange Line T is less than a ten minute walk away. BlueBikes (shared bikes) and Zipcar/ Good2Go spaces are also at the end of the street.
