Lazy Parrot is a beachfront home with a large hardwood deck featuring a 14x33 pool*, a Tiki bar that seats 6, deck furniture and a large, screened porch.
The large main living and dining areas welcome you as you enter. The fully equipped kitchen has a 6-burner gas range, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, 2 French door refrigerators, a beverage cooler, microwave and an icemaker.

There are 4 king primary bedroom suites all facing the gulf, a fifth suite features a twin bunk and a queen bunk with a twin above. Additionally, there is a bonus room that has a queen sleeper sofa, TV, bar, beverage cooler and an ice maker. There is also a laundry room on the second floor.

Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from crowds and congestion. On the peninsula guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, Cookout Tiki Bar, Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, The Kiva Grill and Jesse's.

Guests can play golf at Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores marina at Fort Morgan. Finally, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

This home rents on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis from May 31 through August 9, 2025.

There is a $1,000 Refundable Security Deposit associated with this home. This home has an exterior life for luggage and groceries available from the car parking area that goes to the first floor only. ABSOLUTELY NOT A CHILDREN'S PLAY TOY. Please contact the agent for more information.

Perfect Beachfront House

The house was impressive. Clearly well cared for, beautifully decorated, and has the perfect beach. The pool was great and the screened in porch was a perfect spot for napping. Any mom knows a good couch makes or breaks family TV time…this one is the best 😊

Fantastic house for family trip

There were 8 adults-mom & dad and three adult kids (mid 20’s) with their spouses. Each of the four couples had their own bedroom with beautiful ocean view. The kitchen space is a bit tight when multiple people are cooking but it has so many extras-2 fridges, drink mini fridge & ice maker. 2 dishwashers and huge sink made for easy cleanup. Cabinets are loaded with dishes, utensils & the pantry had extras like a crockpot & was excellent for storing all the food we brought. Porch was screened in, perfect for rainy times & could see & hear surf from the porch. The pool deck was in good shape; comfortable on feet. The pool was very large-shallow on each end and deeper in the middle. The tiki bar was a little weathered but it had a marble countertop & good lighting. The deck had 7 high barstools-for looking over the railings to the gulf. There is a pool shed full of chairs, boogey boards, sand & beach toys!! During our stay Hurricane Francine hit Louisiana and we ended up with 3 days of rain and 3 days of sunshine. This house worked fantastic because on the rainy days we could gather in the living room area or on the porch and read and play games. We spent a lot of time on the porch, watching the changes in the weather. On the sunny days, we were either in the pool, on the beachfront building sandcastles or walking the beach. The beach was clean with white sand, and in early September was not crowded. The house layout & features worked great for our family!!

Beware - Cleanliness and safety issues

After a few days, the cleanliness, maintenance and safety issues are frightfully obvious, which included, but were not limited to:Loose stair trim creating trip hazard.Door hanging off 1 hinge; 2 hinges broken away.Shower doesn’t drain/backs up w/previous guest’s bodily residue/sheddings.Sinks don’t drain/backs up exposing dead insects.Rug(s) full of sand.Shower full of sand.Beds w/sand, sheets not changed from previous guests.Old food residue / sand from previous guests in cabinets, oven, fridge, bedrm drawers, pots, floorsGarbage/previous guest’s body sheddings in/on/under cabinets, garbage bins, beds.Window(s) w/broken locks.Door(s) w/broken knobs.Vent(s) not clean.Vent(s) bloated w/dead insects.Property of previous guests found in / under bed(s).Floors/rugs not vacuumed.Shower component(s) broken/not in place.Dryer vent overflowing w/vile.Oven didn't work.2nd oven control didn't work.Mold (some harmful to humans), i.e., Cladosporium, Aspergillus, Nigrospora, Rhodotorula and Yeast.Splinters from deck.One would expect a property rented and touted as luxury to rise to that expectation. This property didn't even met mediocre expectations.Location and pool good. As far as other 90% of the property-renter beware. Wish I could post photos. Many are vile and difficult to fathom.

First let me tell all of you that read these things - this lady was denied by VRBO any of her requested 50% back - yep after not hearing one single complaint "while she was here" she demanded 50% refund upon her return home. So I will reply to each and every of her issues. Literally the minute we received this complaint me and 2 other ladies from my office went straight to this house. There was not a "loose stair tread" there was a small piece of thresh hold that had come unglued and was fixed easily, immediately. There was one rusty hinge on a door leading into the laundry room that was still 100% functional. There is a chance there was some sand in a throw rug. I will admit that - but I don't think there was sand in the bedsheets because one would assume if that were the case, she would request cleans sheets be delivered - she did not. Her complaints of cleanliness cannot be validated because we were never given the chance to "come and see" her evidence. If there were dead bugs, they died during her stay. We tested all of the showers and all drained properly. We were aware of one oven not working and she was aware of this and there are 2 ovens in the kitchen. We were waiting on a part. The dryer vent could have had fluff on it - an easy fix. As for all of her big, scary words about mold, there was a little bit around TWO AC vents that was easily cloroxed away. It is south Alabama and humid as all get out. A little bit of mold happens. Pool decks and beach walks "do have splinters" - that was a "right of passage" when I grew up - getting splinters; wear flip flops or pool shoes. This house is a very nice house and a very popular house. I stand by my advertising. As I stated earlier, we never heard a peep from this guest until she returned home and demanded 50% of her money back. VRBO denied her claim and having been in this business for 35 years I just see a bitter, mean person that maybe could not afford this caliber of home and was having "renter regret."
