Beautiful house with many amenities. Hot tub was wonderful along with the huge outdoor decks. Enjoyed watching the deer cross the gravel road in front of the house every evening. House was clean and well-stocked. Was very pleased with the instruction book provided for the house that contained all directions concerning TVs, fireplaces, hot-tub, etc.

Thank you for the kind words! The home does provide a lot of opportunity to commune with nature. We are so glad you found it be well stocked and clean. Our crew works hard to provide an enjoyable experience. We're also glad the Welcome Binder proved useful during your stay. We'd love to host you again!
This is our second stay here at the Hemlock Hideout. We were golfing with our men's group for our annual mountain golf shin dig with 17 guys between 35 and 75. Many of us have been playing up here together since our highschool days. Our wives are nice enough to allow us to keep playing together. It was just 2 of us staying at the Hideout this time, and we had a nice relaxing visit on the desk, as usual. The house has a rustic cabin feel, a fantastic 3 level layout and is in a secluded spot on the side of a granite hill. It has a woodsy view, and you do feel like you are in the trees, like a squirrel. We will be back. Keep the light on for us.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for being a return guest! The deck really is amazing along with the feeling of seclusion in the peaceful surroundings. It's great you were able to spend some time here with your friend and enjoy the area. We look forward to welcoming you back. We'll definitely leave the light on for you!
Beautiful rental! Porches are amazing! We had a wonderful time. I really appreciated the fact that someone cleaned all the pollen and dust off of the porches the day of our check-in so they would be nice and clean. Inside the cabin was also clean and the kitchen is well stocked. The trail down to the water does need to be trimmed back but if you didn't want to deal with that you could just walk the gravel road.

We are happy that you enjoyed your family retreat at Hemlock Hideout and its convenient location. Fightingtown Creek does border the property. There is a short hike or drive to the observation deck. We appreciate your review!
The location was perfect, the house and porches were amazing and just as described! It was a great “hideaway” from our busy lives for a few days! Eventho it rained and was cool, we really enjoyed watching movies and playing games. The host was very accommodating and accessible, I would highly recommend staying at Hemlock Hideaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains!!

We especially enjoyed this home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We had great weather so we loved sitting by the fire in the evening. Blue Ridge was a beautiful spot with good restaurants.
We would have liked to have had instructions for tv and upstairs bedroom had no remote.

Thank you for the great review. We are glad you enjoyed the outdoor area at Hemlock as well as Blue Ridge. We apologize about the upstairs TV remote. The cleaner found the remote between the mattress and footboard of the bed after your stay.
Our stay was great. The creek is behind the house but there are other properties between the house and creek. The tv wasn’t on the porch which was kind of a bummer, considering that was one of my husband’s highlights but over all the house was beautiful

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. There is not a TV on the porch. The pictures of the porch have a framed landscape picture. We are sorry you thought a TV was there. If you take the trail from the property to the creek there are no houses. It is all the property of the owner straight down. The property line does veer to the left a little. When you are at the observation deck by the creek there is a house to the right of the property. We appreciate your review and feedback.
The house was exactly as described. This was 1 of 4 cabins our family rented in the area for 24 of us to vacation in NC & Georgia. We didn't really utilize all the amenities because we had activities planned virtually every day. The large house had enough space to spread out and the hot tub was a great asset after a busy day of outdoor activities. Host was attentive.
We loved it. It was so cozy and such a peaceful place. In fact we found ourselves eating around 4 and ready for bed around 6. We especially liked that everyone had their own space and the community areas were huge. This was the most peaceful vacay we have had in our 38 years of family vacay. Checkin was no problem, easy wifi, kitchen was over equipped. NO COMPLAINTS (except we needed more towels per persons, and the bathrooms were small) but we had a beautiful stay and can't wait to try it again soon.

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay! It is a very peaceful place and we are glad you all were able to relax! Thank you for the wonderful review.
This place is amazing!! Highly recommend. Very well appointed. It has everything you need to have a memorable vacation. From the wood burning fireplace on the large covered outdoor porch to the fun game room downstairs. All beds and furnishings were top of the line and extremely comfortable. The only downside I could see was the creek was a little difficult to get to but it definitely did not take away from our stay. I would recommend this cabin for anyone and all ages.
