This was the second time we've stayed here. Great location between Gimli and Winnipeg Beach. Lots of activities are available. Nice, clean cabin with great views.
We spent the weekend here for a getaway. The host was very quick to respond, provided any information we needed and made the process very stress-free. The cabin was so lovely and right on the lake and exactly what we needed. Would recommend!
We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. We enjoyed the lake front views and access for swimming and kayaking. Great communication as well whenever we had questions. It was clean and had everything we needed.
Everything starts with the house rooms divisions that gave us the ability to have 3 couples, 4 kids and a dog with total privacy when needed.
The back and front yards are amazing. No words for the beach right there outside the door. The lake was perfect for enjoy the kayaks and a paddle. Everything just amazing!
We booked this VRBO for our family of 5, pleasantly surprised at the amenities provided for our one year old— Pack n play, and high chair were used daily. The private beach was a blast, the boys loved collecting rocks and running along the sand. June does not bring swimming weather, but that was just fine with us, because— hot tub!! Highly recommend staying here and exploring the neighboring town of Gimli. Delicious restaurant, fun shops and a pier with some awesome views. Thanks for being a great host Luke!
A beautiful modern cottage, with a back and front deck, along with a screened in room, allowing for a variety of options regarding shade/sun/indoor/outdoor eating! High chair, and plastic dishes suitable for toddlers, including a baby cot. Delighted with well stocked kitchen. (Tho you might want to bring a knife sharpener!)
Nice, private property, nice beach, cut grass would have been nice, Hot tub was enjoyable, the space indoors was too small for 9 people ages 8+, matresses and bedding were great, parking distance from the house was a bit unpractical for loading/unloading the car. A designated area for that would make it easier. Communication with owner was prompt and helpful.

Cramped space and swampy grounds
The yard was very swampy in the back and beside the neighbor. The outdoor fire pit was not usable as it was situated in a water filled area. The indoor space was clean but it was cramped on the main level with the dining table butted up against the couch. Our party included two adults and four children aged 9-14). We found two pieces of broken glass in the hot tub as well. We ended up leaving 1 day early as a result.
We had a very nice two-day stay at the cottage, which included a front-seat row to the perseids meteor showers, kayaking, hammock swings, and lots of relaxation. The cottage is immaculate and very comfortable - it is obvious the owners are very attentive to and invested in the property. They were very responsive to an inquiry I had while there.
There are plenty of opportunities for together time - the back yard is massive, and the house contains a great room and table for 10. At the same time, there are opportunities for private time with upstairs bedrooms. Beyond the yard is a nice sandy beach for swimming and launching the kayaks (in true Lake Winnipeg fashion, you can walk out for miles!).
The cottage is quite close to neighbors on both sides, but it wasn't noisy and it felt quite private. Close to Gimli and only around an hour's drive from Winnipeg. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!
We booked this property fir our wedding anniversary getaway. The cabin was very cozy, the view of the lake was beautiful especially at sunrise. The beach was rocky but we expected that. The hit tub, fire place and out door game options were great extras. Gimli was less than 10 mins away for a quick excursion. Kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. All in all, we had a great experience and would recommend this property.
Great property right on the lake! Kayaks and games outside and also tons of games inside

The location is beautiful and that was very nice. Lake view was relaxing and calming. Luke was always just a phone call away and very helpful. I think the improvements needed are clearing is not doing a good job. I had to clean every ceiling fan in the bedrooms the first day we arrived. The fans had a thick layer of dust and some of the windows had cob webs on the screens. We vacuumed the cabin and had to empty the vacuum container twice right as we arrived. The cabin door didn’t lock properly so we were not able to lock it when we left the cabin. The most important thing is the beds. The bed on the main floor was ok and comfortable enough. The two beds on the upper level are terrible and part of my family left a couple days earlier than planned because they were so uncomfortable. The hot-tub didn’t really get hot enough. It never got past 30-34. For the price we paid for the week I expect to have the cabin cleaner, comfortable beds and a hot tub that actually got hot enough. I think the location is wonderful. I think the cabin can be upgraded. The kitchen needs updating and the cleanness is just not there so whoever they’re using to clean your cabin, maybe switch that up. We still had a good time just not as comfortable as it could’ve been.
Kitchen was fully stocked with all things necessary for cooking. Check in was easy and smooth. Bedrooms were set up well with all the bedding and pillows needed. Overall a great experience.
Check in was super easy with the number code, and the host messaged us to make sure we got in ok. The kitchen is very well-stocked and we had plenty of linens and blankets. Really nice to have two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is advertised as having a double and a single bed, but only had a double so someone had to sleep on the couch. Otherwise we really enjoyed this cabin!
Great, clean cabin! Loved the 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and comfy beds, hot tub was a plus! Water was gorgeous (water shoes a must). Would def consider staying again!
Fantastic place right on the lake. Tons of room for our family of 4, well stocked kitchen, and tons of games for the kids. Loved having the kayaks and easy access to the water. Everything was clean and well-cared for and Luke responded quickly to any questions.
We loved our stay. We have 2 younger boys and it was great they could each have their own room upstairs. I would encourage if you plan to bring food in to bring a few tupperware or ziplock bags for leftovers as the house didn’t have any. Which is totally fine. In late May, water was Luke warm 15 feet out but past that it was ice cold. Kids loved kayaking during the day and the beach space was great to look for seashells. It wasn’t far to Gimli and a good hour to most things in Winnipeg. There’s a fire ban in Manitoba so that cut out camp fire ideas out but it was totally fine. Loved it and the kids have already asked when we’re going back!
Really beautiful property, everything was nice and tidy with everything we needed. The host was friendly and very communicative, and the hot tub was a huge bonus. Would definitely stay here again!
Spent a few days at this cabin with my friends and it was great! Communication was easy and everything was easy to find & use.

Rest and relaxation
We came to relax and unwind and that’s just what we did! We would have appreciated wood left for the fireplace even enough for one fire and info on where to buy some would have been helpful. Manual for air fryer would have helped. Beds are not very comfortable.
The dtay was wonderful!! Me and 5 of my friends all stayed in the cabin and had a great time !!
The beach view and property is in great condition!!
Suggested to bring extra cooking wear if you have alot you want to cook, with doubleing up in beds we did all have a place to sleep but this space would be more suited for 4 people ♡
It was very relaxing and good vibes and overall loved the space here !! And would definitely recommend!!
We appreciated small touches like having a nice baby bed. We enjoyed walks along the beach. The kitchen had all the appliances that we needed. Luke responded quickly to all of our questions. Checking in and out was very easy. We would consider staying at this cabin again.
Thanks Luke.

About the host

My wife and I have 3 little girls and have always dreamed of owning a cottage. By renting it out throughout the year that dream is possible and we get to occasionally visit with our family and enjoy time by the lake. Our girls love the hot tub and visiting Gimli which always comes with ice cream! We like to host other families who don’t have their own cottage and love repeat guests
Why they chose this property
This is a quiet family friendly neighborhood with retired couples and other families. It’s got beautiful views and is equal distance to Gimli or Winnipeg Beach
What makes this property unique
The lakefront view and access to the beach is a huge bonus for this property. Along with that we provide plenty of fun games and activities to do out on the lake from the hot tub to relaxing in the hammock or axe throwing, ladder golf and kayaks to explore the water. The newly added sunroom is also a great place to eat or just curl up with a book in and relax.
