The accomodations were excellent, clean and tidy. Everything we needed was available to us for the weekend. The owner responded quite readily to all our questions. We definitely recommend this place for any family that would love a weekend stay in Salem!

Beds were comfortable, as was the common area. The entry area didn’t have any sound buffer so when the other tenants in the building came and went it sounded like they were at our door. Location was convenient.

It was very clean and looked like the pictures. It had a walk in shower. Our host provided us with coffee and creamer. Very roomy and the beds were comfortable. Not enough toilet paper and wash cloths. The remote on the TV didn't work. Called the owner. He came promptly but couldn't fix the remote. He will order a new one. Convenient location. Chickens in the back yard. Good off street parking. Toilet seat was wobbly . On first floor. All on one level.

If you’re looking for something that is close to downtown Salem, then this location is great and only about a 10/15 minute walk from the center. However, the cleanliness of the rental was very lacking. The shower had debris all over it and the floors hadn’t been vacuumed or washed. The toilet seat is loose and would move anytime anyone would sit on it. There is no shower gel that is provided nor an iron or ironing board like in the description. I agree with other reviewers that the upstairs neighbors are extremely loud and sounded like they were hammering something all day long to the point it woke us up several times. Overall, a quick vacuum and tighten of the toilet seat would easily bring this rental from a 5 to at least an 8.

Over all not bad for the price. Only issue was the upstairs tenants or other visitors were extremely loud. Sounded like the were moving furniture all night was woken up a couple of times.

The house had plenty of space and was very clean. The owners were wonderful and responded to messages very quickly. Very easy check in. This property is in a beautiful Salem neighborhood and very close walking distance to downtown Salem. It was perfect !

Salem Stay

It was overall a good stay. The house is close to main shopping areas. We did however run out of bleach and there was no dishwasher detergent so we washed most of the dishes by hand. The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable!

Great Choice

We were very have with the property. It was so close to everything in Salem. We were able to park our car and walk everywhere! Also close to the train to head to Boston too. After having fun all day the place was large and comfortable to unwind! We would stay here again for sure :)

Loved it All

Everything was exactly as pictured! I loved the fact that in the middle of the city, they have utilized their property to make it country like with a garden and chickens. It made me feel home as I live in the country.Really will stay again !

Location was in a quiet, safe neighborhood approximately 25 minutes walk from downtown Salem. Not having to deal with the headache of downtown parking in October is a plus ()! Unit was clean overall, however a couple towels had holes in them and the shower curtain liner needed to be cleaned or replaced. Communication with the host was very easy and fast, as was the check in/check out process. I would absolutely stay here again for a return trip to Salem in the future!

Salem Halloween Trip

We stayed here while visiting Salem during the Halloween season. This property was within walking distance of all activities. Very nice, but off the main route.

Salem chickens

The house was exactly what we needed. It was clean and relatively quiet. The chickens in the backyard were a little unusual but they were quiet and not an issue at all. Definitely would stay again.
