About this property
Anglers Inn Floating Suite Luxury houseboat— Manatee Kayak Three Sisters Springs
The Anglers Inn Floating Suites, offering “on the water” luxury, are permanently docked in the heart of Kings Bay at Pete’s Pier, 1 SW 1st Place, Crystal River, FL. With the ability to comfortably sleep 5 people onboard, it is the perfect size for a family getaway, multi-family vacation or secluded couple’s retreat. With lots of room on its three decks, it's a great place to view manatees while grilling out.
Local attractions available are fishing charter boats, manatee tours including swimming with the manatees, scallop trips, dolphin tours, sunset cruises, airboat rides, bow fishing, shark fishing, kayak and paddle board rental, tarpon feeding and island excursions. Also the home of the Anglers Inn University, teaching anglers of all ages how to catch more fish.
The surrounding Kings Bay area is home to resident snook, redfish and tarpon that are refreshed with migrating fish. Just seven miles from Crystal River is the Gulf of Mexico and its uncountable islands and channels with miles of shoreline and mangroves for the best snook, redfish and sea trout inshore fishing imaginable. Other saltwater species popular in the area are gag grouper, in season, grouper, cobia, barracuda, jack crevalle and amberjack.
The beautifully crystal-clear waters of Kings Bay are fed from more than 70 springs, supplying more than 580 million gallons per day into the Bay, warming them to a constant 72 degrees. This premier ecological location brings in huge manatees that love the warm water. A thousand of these mammals, the heaviest concentration in the world, call this small area along the west coast of Florida home as their primary breeding area. Don’t expect them to quickly scurry away, they do everything in super-slow motion. Visitors are treated to close encounters of the friendly type by viewing manatee parents and their calves from a tour boat, a paddle board or really up close and personal with snorkel gear. The water is so clear you can see your feet and even the floor of the Bay from a kayak.
July 1 is a huge day in Crystal River and Kings Bay. It’s the beginning of scallop season and collectors from far and wide venture to this area to watch and grab scallops as they flitter, flop and clumsily swim through the grass-bottom shallows. Scallops are an excellent table fare and local restaurants will take your gathered shells and prepare a delectable feast.
