The attractive country décor will make you feel welcome and instantly at ease. Perfect for family reunions, weddings, or corporate retreats. Great space for gathering family and friends. The hosts made sure that the driveway was clear for the snow that had hit earlier in the week. Then they offered to clear the road if we wished to stay through the snowstorm that was going to hit us as we were there.

The house is located at a very peaceful and close distance from deep creek recreational areas. The house have plenty of utensils and dishes. The water pressure in some bathrooms runs very low, some door locks needed replacing curtains/blinds on every window would be great for guests privacy.

We had a wonderful stay at this house. Plenty of large spaces for multiple families to spread out but also come together. We loved the family/game room and played lots of pool and card games. The kids enjoyed their own game room upstairs with the ping pong table. Plenty of sleeping room and comfortable beds. The location is great, we were less than 10 min to Wisp/Deep Creek. The teenagers used the free passes to the community center to workout and swim. The area is private. In the summer it would also be a great location with the fire pit and outdoor eating. The hosts were super responsive and came within 5 min of us calling with a question. Would choose this house again if we came back to the area.

Fantastic Again

I have brought my Youth Group here for the 3rd year in a row and it is becoming a favorite destination! While the house does have its little quirks, like years old carpet stains and mismatching light bulbs, we have come back year after year and have seen things improve around the house. It is a cozy place to bring any large group!

We had a group of 18 stay at this property. It was plenty big enough for us all to fill comfortable in the home. The living room space was very spacious, plenty big enough for all 18 of us to comfortably sit in the space. It was definitely a bonus for the teenagers in the group with the ping pong table and pool table. The property was in very good shape. If you are looking for a nice weekend retreat this is the place to stay. Our purpose for staying was to visit Ohiopyle Natural waterslide - 45 minutes, and the laurel caverns - 55 minutes. We would definitely stay here again even with those longer drives. It was an amazing stay.

Excellent again!

I have taken my church's youth group here 2 years in a row now and it is an excellent stay! The new heated floors were a great addition. We may plan on making this a reoccurring trip. It's also a convenient trip since we had a full group with around 24 hanging out during the day and some heading back home at night. I can't wait to see if we go again next year!

Large house with plenty of room for the 19 family members who came to Deep Creek to spend three nights and 4 days together. Not crowded at all; sleeping arrangements for everyone and room to get off by yourself in the dens,living room, game rooms and outdoor area of the complex. No backups at the bathroom plenty of room for everyone at shower time. Unit was fully stocked with utensils, plates, pots and pans etc for the kitchen. Three refrigerators all with a freezer, washer and dryer and all the essentials one would need. Ping pong table, board games, pool table,small shuffleboard and flat screen TVs spread out throughout the unit. Overall my family of three generations grandparents, our children and grandchildren all really enjoyed their stay and say they had an excellent time visiting the Alvie house. Clean rooms, family friendly and I'm plenty of space.

We had a great week using the property for volleyball, corn hole, fires every night in the outdoor pit plus hiking and enjoying cow watching and going to the lake for swimming and boating and picnicking.
