Ventura Beach neighborhoods - Silver Strand, Hollywood Beach and Pierpont Beach, have uncrowded beaches, two marinas (Channel Island and Ventura) that have boat rentals, whale watching tours, jet ski rentals, gondola rides and are sprinkled with cool local cafes, yoghurt shops and lively sports bars. Why stay in Malibu or Santa Barbara when you can stay in gorgeous house for 1/3 the price? Oh, and bring your pup too!
