Welcome to “Rendezvous” only 176 YARDS FROM BEACH ACCESS!! Stay includes access to top notch exercise facility - YEAR AROUND INDOOR POOL- OCEAN FRONT POOL-(all only a very short walk away) AND PICKLEBALL COURTS. This super child-friendly beach house is in the Schooner Ridge Neighborhood!!

Families LOVE Schooner Ridge because it is a quaint oceanside community located right in the village of Duck. There is no need to use your car here. The neighborhood has a loop which is fantastic for kids to ride bikes around (no thru traffic). Guests have access to the all clubhouse and community amenities which include use of an amazing OCEANFRONT Pool w/ Dune-top Gazebo and Private Beach Access exclusively for Schooner Ridge Guests.

More House Recent improvements: New decking, New Hot tub, New refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave, New Flatscreens tvs, Gas fireplace, Hardwood floors, Washer/Dryer-High Efficiency, Netflix account for the house :) 5G wifi!!!

L2: 2 MBR with K and private baths, a nursery (this is the 7th bedroom) off the MBRs for little ones, and 2 Bunk sets & private bath, tv room with pull out full bed.
L3: 1BR with Q, Kitchen – Living /Dining Great room, Ship’s Watch with views and foosball, bath rm, screened in porch, and flat screen tv.

We were in the area for our youngest son’s wedding and this was the perfect home for us. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. This home is very kid friendly and a simple walk to the beach. Our grandson’s are 5 and 3 and had no trouble getting to and from the beach. The location of this home is within walking distance to everything you need. This was truly one of the best vacations we’ve had as a family. We would most definitely rent this home again. The owners were always quick to respond with any questions we had.

This is an excellent space - clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully and tastefully furnished. Our kids especially loved the foosball table and pool. The adults loved the comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces. The house was immaculate when we arrived, and we all found the beds extremely comfortable. One issue arose at the end of our stay (normal house stuff), and the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful in navigating. Highly recommend! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our First Family vacation to Duck

This was our first trip to OBX. What a great place to stay! The location couldn’t have been better. Quick walk to the beach. While we mostly drove, the stores are all conveniently located within 10-15 min walk. We were a family of six along with 4 children 3 and under. The house served all our needs. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean. Erik and the Property Manager were incredibly responsive and wonderful communicators. No doubt, we would consider staying again. Duck - we’re gonna miss you.

The house is perfectly located to walk to beach or town. Even for 4 year olds! The private pool was awesome. But the club house pool and playground was also a hit. There was plenty of room for our extended family of 12

We had a great time ! Perfect location , beach is just a short walk. The town is just a bike ride away, kids would ride their bikes into town for ice cream . The house had everything you need . We all enjoyed our first visit to OBX.

Our family had a wonderful week.

Good location to the beach. We did not get to use the beach pool as it was under construction. The bathrooms were closed. (We should have been informed ahead of time of the closure and men working). It is nice to have showers at the beach. The house is nice, but I would not rate it as exceptional. The bathrooms are very small and difficult to share with 15 people. There is not seating at tables for 15. The kitchen is adequate. The pool deck and grounds need attention. The decks need attention.It was nice to have the house ready when we arrived.

Lovely getaway

Our group of 4 adults and 2 kids had a great time during our stay at “Rendezvous” in Schooner Ridge. The home is within easy walking distance of the beach, along with the town of Duck, and was nicely appointed. The kitchen had everything you need in well-stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable, and the hot tub worked well. The owners, Erik and Shauna, couldn’t be more responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Family oasis

Such an enjoyable stay! The weather was uncooperative during our stay so the ability to have a club house with activities for all a plus! Home is great for gathering the family for game night or meal time but room to seclude yourself as well. Hot tub and pool area awesome! Short walk or bike ride to beach or sound, shopping or grabbing a sweet treat. 5 stars on response from owners with any questions we had. A welcome gift waiting on our arrival!

We had ourselves a time

This property is well appointed. Not far from the beach. If you can’t be beach front this is a very nice option. The beds are comfortable and great to sleep. Pool and hotub are great too. The configurations of bedrooms and bath are more suitable for families with younger children (fantastic for that) We had families of teens and adults. It’s worked well but better for children.

Great Family week in Duck!

The place was fantastic. We had 4 different families with us for a total of 13 people. The weather didn't cooperate totaly but on rainy days we either went on excursions or went to the Recreation Club a short 5 minute walk away. There we had an indoor pool, games, billiards, pickleball and more. On the sunny days we walked 5 minutes to the beach which was excellent. Hot tub and pool on property was a real plus. We had 3 children , 3 yrs, 1 year and 9 months with us with no problems. Child gates on stairs, high chair, portacribs and abundant room for a big playpen we brought. Kitchen and dining area was accommodating for all. Three refrigerators , 6 bedrooms, multiple TVs, multiple sun porches, bikes, beach equipment....everything anyone would need for a great vacation. The VRBO is situated in an ideal location within Duck. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. A great time was had by all.

An amazing experience

Everything was nice and clean. Only one thing that all of us noticed is that when the oven was on and all doors and windows were shut, our eyes were irritated. It was ok once we opened a door. The area behind kitchen side swing needs a little cleaning. Everything else was just perfect. Thank you Pickering family !

The Best Vacation We Have Had as a Family

Everything was fantastic. I don't know where to begin or even how to end. When we left, all of us group hugged and cried. This was the best family vacation we have ever been on. The House and the Private pool is incredible. For me to watch my three adult children (30 & above) have races was hilarious. The Home and the development is so well kept. Everything from swimming to bike & wave riding, is available. We walked on the beach at night and explored Ghost Crabs. All 6 boys rented a charter and brought home blue fish. The girls had a shopping day and the children saw a magic show. I adored this trip and we are all talking about what we are going to do there on next years trip. The owner's and their team were so hands on with everything. I cannot say enough GREAT things about this vacation. I don't think my family or I could ever top it!

Why they chose this property

We have been vacationing in Duck for over 12 years and when we moved from California to the East Coast, we began the search for a vacation home here. We fell in love with our house and neighborhood, Schooner Ridge. We updated basically everything - beds, furniture, and electronics, and we can't get down there enough - we love it!
